So I made this sign for my email thread after everyone was kind enough to share their views about posting "email monitored by Dom/me" warnings. Unfortunately the Mods pulled the entire thread for some reason. Before I trash the art, it I thought I would share it. And to all those that gracefully replied sharing their perspectives until I finally got it, here is my last reply to that thread.

Yes, in the very first reply theRose4U said, “the simple answer...it slows the flood at the in-box when fresh meat arrives.” I think I missed that because this thread is my only real exposure exploring it and OsideGirl said in reply to theRose4U, “I'm going to disagree. I have found that mentioning Master in my profile puts more email in my box.” I had no real life experience to weigh both those comments.
But now I understand it can be 'snert repellent'. . . which explains why I often see it in bold red letters like a "beware of dog" sign. Same reason many bi girls don't list as bi because of the stupid mail it brings.
So let me get this straight. Just saying "owned" doesn't work as well because the HNGs write anyway expecting contact with that target of their desire. Saying that the email is monitored by the Dom/me and listing contact restrictions serves several simultaneous functions with fewer words:
1. It tells the reader the S type is owned
2. It tells the reader contact filter rules are enforced by a Dominant, not a submissive
3. It deters foolish mail from HNGs because they will end up with the Dominant on guard, not the S type.
4. It reinforces the Dominant's presence because the S type cannot act autonomously
5. It is a cyber extension of good protocol by asking the Dominant for permission just like in real life
Well that sheds an entirely different light on the warning for those that use it to that end. Seems an efficient use of words. It clears up the paradoxal image I had of all warnings being posted by insecure, micromanaging Dominants feverishly sorting through their S type’s mail to prevent someone from stealing their property. Now I see it more like a beware of dog (Dom/me) warning. Speaking of dogs, you taught this old dog a new perspective on the motives for posting such a warning. Thank you all for sharing your views and information. This thread has been enlightening.
It is not a practice I plan to put in use, but now I have a better perspective of those that do. And for those of you that do use it, as Bill Engvall says, “here’s your sign”:
