Fetlife seems to be used more by TNG.

Pardon my ignorance but since I've already posted that I couldn't figger wtf makes Fetlife tick, perhaps there's a clue for a fellow geezer in whatever "TNG" stands for...?

A little help, please. [8|]

"The Next Generation" - aka the younger crowd. Not us older geezers. [:D]

Ok, that's annoying....! lol

See, the "TNG" was familiar but I just couldn't put my finger on it. Then I read this and "ping", memories of that nauseating second series of "Star Trek - The Next Generation" come flooding back.

Or "Star Trek TNG", as it was on the TV Guide.

Or my preferred "Star Trek - The Can't We All Just Get Along Generation". To boldly go all the way out into deep space just to explore every contrived human emotional/social concept imaginable.... <shiver>

Anyway, thanks for the memories (lol) and hijack ends.

FR

OkCupid has worked for me in finding kinky partners. Filling out the match questions and taking 1-2 of the kink spectrum tests helped. Not bad for a vanilla site, if you're looking to meet folks in your area.

Great thread.

As for Bondage.com...it seems like it's really a paid site masquerading as a free site...right? You can't message anyone unless you pony up-- is that correct? Or am I missing something?

I don't think "masquerading" is accurate because when I joined back in the day, free users could do pretty much everything you can do at CM but with additional benefits for premium (paying) members.

And then they changed it so that free users couldn't msg each other, not even to make private comment on something posted on the public discussion boards. And if you were seeking a partner, then it was like Alt - as you say, "pony up" first. For anyone joining after the change, it's very obviously a predominantly paysite.

For someone used to having it all, it suddenly felt like you were punted off to solitary confinement. That was in 2004, I'd reckon, as that's when I consequently became motivated to look elsewhere and under my CM avatar it says I joined here that year....

I don't think anybody mentioned SexyAds.com. it is not a free site, lots of limits, but they give some free days once in a while and it is only abt. 10 bucks to join. Some nice ladies on there and well, hmmmmm.. a gentleman does not tell. Right? :))

It's against the rules to post on threads more than 3 months old. It is also seriously annoying.

I think typing "submissive" or "slave" or "dominant" in Craigslist is your best bet.
