farglebargle -> GOP's "Scortched Earth" strategy... (12/12/2012 3:57:01 PM)

Since the Democrats got a sweeping mandate in the last election, the GOP is trying to salt the earth before the midterm elections remove the Republicans to the dustbin of history.

I guess they want to ensure that they never have another woman vote for them or something. This is what happens people, when bitter old white men get their criminal fraud shut down. They can't go to the cops and say, "Anonymous Hackers kept us from stealing Ohio", can they?

one wonders what would happen if all the women in Michigan... or at least the ones who cared about their own health and oh-so-personal property of one's own body... simply up and moved to another state. My guess is all those angry white guys would get a lot grumpier once the M:F ratio got skewed by say... 20 percentage points or more LOL.

It'll never happen of course because humans will, in fact, walk themselves to the gas chamber to die. But it's a funny thought. Last I checked women still control the pussy... even in Michigan... although I wouldn't put it past them to be crafting some legislation to address that oversight.

Women will just go across the state line to do what they have to do.... or see someone through the back door. Insisting a Physician fill out a death certificate on a fetus that was never viable. That should be interesting.

Republicans have a majority in the state’s House by a 59-51 margin, but the bill passed on a vote of 70-39, and passed the Senate by 27-10. So any argument that tries to paint horns on the Republicans for this, and halos on the Democrats, doesn't really have much rubber on the road.

It passed the House before the election... the Senate afterwards... the Senate changed a few things, so it has to go back to the House for another vote.

Think we should tell fargle this?

End of Previous Legislature R - 44 D - 66

Current Senate is R - 22 D - 16

Individuals might be or might not be racists.

The Republican Party, with their adoption of Lee Atwater's Southern Strategy, and refusal to repudiate it and expel those who ARE RACISTS makes THE REPUBLICAN PARTY RACIST.

However, what happens when someone who SAYS they aren't a racist PROVIDES MATERIAL SUPPORT TO RACISTS?

Well, if you substitute 'terrorist' for 'racist', providing material support gets you sent to prison, so...

Racist IS as Racist DOES... You support racists, don't insult everyone by claiming you aren't.

I hung out with an old friend on my way to Virginia last weekend. He like at least one of the conservative posters here is under the impression that the Republican party has two options crazy or democrat light. I suspect it's that kind of thinking that has brought out a bolder, richer flavor of crazy lately.

I'd be careful about believing what some anonymous person on the internet told you. For instance i've heard from an anonymous person on the internet that the earth is flat.

Well, sure looks like the GOP fucked up, in thinking they could come up with this Fiscal Cliff thing, AFTER VOTING FOR 6 TRILLION IN NEW DEBT LAST YEAR, almost as if they really, really EXPECTED Romney to win. In defiance of all objective reality.

And we have documented evidence of how Ohio was flipped last time around. So setting up the routers to make sure things went as they were supposed to wasn't too challenging a task, I SUPPOSE... It's not like these routers don't have backdoors built in... I expect a system management script, written in perhaps python, would make the task trivial.

Fargle, it was a Democrat controlled Michigan House that passed that bill. Can we stop with the GOP bashing until all the facts are known?
