That there's been a sudden distraction from the poor state of the economy and the GOP's refusal to permit the situation to improve any so long as there's a Democrat in the white house, you mean? It's definitely going to be a good week to bury embarrassing news stories, true enough.

well didnt Boehner decide that the fiscal cliff could be put off for another year..altho the party denies he is feeling such things and hasnt Obama offered to put the cap up to those earning 400,000 instead of 250,000? or did I misread my daily news forays? Or were you being your amusing self and being tongue in cheek. Personally I find the outcry of various right wingers bellows of horror and "have to do something to stop it" over benghazis four dead bodies and the silence emanating about 26 dead little bodies in america, while clinging to their rights to be rather telling.

This just in from politico Speaker John Boehner plans to tell House Republicans Tuesday morning he's moving to a "Plan B" to avert the fiscal cliff. He'll put a bill on the floor that hikes taxes for income over $1 million. Boehner is not pulling out of negotiations with President Barack Obama, but hopes this plan will prod the White House to negotiate further.
