The states affected most by hurricane Sandy went to and helped in a large way to relect Obama last month.
Is this payback?

I wouldn't say this is payback.

Remember, Cantor didn't want his state to get disaster relief funding after the tornado that ripped through those states?

The republicans just don't believe in the 'common good' any more.

Isn't Louisiana still a red state, come to that? If payback is an issue, you'd have thought there wouldn't be any Republican voters left in Louisiana after the chimp told New orleans to fuck off and drown after he'd flooded it by cutting the maintenance budget for the leevees to pump more federal money into his adventure in Iraq.

Not payback. Sandy aimed for the upper Eastern Seaboard, which is traditionally Dem anyway. I'm surprised some religious whacko didn't claim it was God's fury for housing so many liberals.

An Alabama senator believes Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for sin.

Sen. Hank Erwin, R - Montevallo, says "New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast have always been known for gambling, sin and wickedness. It is the kind of behavior that ultimately brings the judgment of God."

This is nothing new.... sadly.
