What gets me is the "I don't give a shit" attitude about the industry, and the disconnect about the damage these weapon's cause. Ergo the term "gun nut."

The thing I like about your posts -- is that you understand how inherently dangerous these weapons are and you don't regard them as fetishized toys.

About the only thing I recall reading is requirements about storage regulations (Aswad) and you seem to have focused more on background checks. I think it would be helpful to open up doors for the victims of gun violence to sue the manufacturers and distributors of inherently dangerous weapons. These costs should be shifted where they belong. The problem with this liability idea is that the shooter in an "intervening cause," but the automatic-assault weapons themselves enable mass murder, and to me constitute an "intervening cause" the jumps a deranged gunman into a mass murderer.
