You have either led a blessed life or are fare more simple than you appear.

Adults SHOULD be responsible but most of the rest of know that all to often they are not. Adults often do things tjat are reckless, stupid, and get themselves and others hurt or killed.

So, if a drunk adult asks me where his keys are, I am not about to help him find them, let alone help him stagger to his car and let him drive off.

First post and a guy asks about branding? Not the guy to hand a torch and a coat hanger to...

thanks for the advise..advice.im finding it very helpfull.
just because this is my first post on here what makes you think im a newbie? im certanly not by any means.
yes i would like to know as much about the subject as i can before making a decission to proceed.
i think that approach is only sensible given the nature of the thread.

to answer some of your questions.
i was thinking about permenant branding.
a branding tool would be made and heated. like in the cowboy films.(cow punching if you like)
severity of burn and aftercare is also something im seeking experienced peoples advice on,aftersll im looking to keep the scaring ,not as in most cased reduce it as soon as possible.
im not totaly inexperienced with hot metal burns being a welder
i have been in this d/s relationship for a year but involved in the scene 15 years been on ic allmost since its inception in 96
will the relationship last forever? who knows.but i do like the idea that hopefully the branding will !
the lucky recipient has allready posted twice on this thread..lol

so not a newbie but trying to make an informed decission and trying to be as safe as is possible. remember ssc !
not looking for judgemet that is something i will decide armed with as much knowlage as i can get
many thanks folks
keep it coming

If a drunk guy asked me to help him find his keys, I would tell him to find them himself because he's an adult and if he can't find them himself that's his problem, not mine. If a person asked me to give him branding advice, I'd tell him to google it. If he can't figure it out, not my problem.

Besides, the person ain't gonna die from the branding unless they let it go so long that they obviously know it's infected. Otherwise they'll just end up with a very nasty third degree burn and a scar. If the other person is stupid enough to trust that person with the brand then again, they get what they deserve. Stupid is as stupid does.

Please get the cow branding analogy out of your head. Yeah, you're talking about taking a hot piece of metal and sticking it against a living body, but that's where the similarities end. The mass on the flesh is different. The cellular structure of the skin/hide is different. The temperatures are different.

Since you were good enough to let Me know that you've got 15 years of experience, I'm going to ask you something further. How many types of edge play have you learned solely from the net? Speaking as a hands on kind of gal, I'm always better learning these kinds of things in person. One good teacher showing Me the technique of what I wanted to do has a lot more value in the real world to Me than who cares how many years on IC. In other terms, did you learn welding because you read about it or was it because you were taught and shown?

I absolutely do advocate you learning this particular form of body modification in person from someone who has experience in it.

Lw I think it has more to do with the person on the receiving end of the darwin award. Is usually less experienced & super domly dom convinced them they had a clue...the candle scenario immediately comes to mind

Again, their stupidity is their stupidity. Their stupidity helps to weed out the chaff from the wheat as far as I' concerned. If a person is that gullible, that's their problem, no one else's, especially in this day and age of the information superhighway. There is no excuse for stupidity.
