Presuming that the story is true:

While it was happening and if anyone was seriously hurt... no it would not be funny. Now that it is over and nobody has been hurt... yeah, I think it's okay to laugh a little about it.

I guess that I meant being shown the picture.  Not the actual activity.

No, I don't find the picture to be funny, I mean, it's just a bunch of newly hatched snakes.

Some people with a snake phobia might find it scary, though.
