10 a week is not spam at all... take the dating site plenty of fish... for example. In order to get a quality find or quality date, it took about 20-30 diff messages (i'm picky too). Out of those 30 probably 20 respond, but only 10 are somewhat serious, then out of those 10, you converse more and eliminate 90% or so of them ... and voila you have the cream of the crop and there you go. The females on this site or any site or anywhere in the world get the pleasure of fielding UNLIMITED requests from UNLIMITED amounts of men... why should we not have the same power? quote:
ORIGINAL: freedomdwarf1 I agree with fluffy. To say "10 a day is a more reasonable number initially, to guage interest" is definitetly spamming, no matter how you slice the cake. I may look at every new profile that pops up. I instantly dismiss 95% of those as being unsuitable (already owned, only looking for males, wrong sex or orientation etc). Out of what's left, I look at their profiles. All the empty ones or those that only say "if you want to know more, ask", I also dismiss. That only leaves about one or two a day that might fit what I'm looking for. And unless I see anything that particularly piques my interest, I still don't mail them. I probably send about two or three a week (if I'm lucky). I would say that even 10 a week is still at spam level.
