Status: offline 		I got to spend the afternoon playing photographer during a fem-dom scene, today. It was guite the awesome experience, as I've never really been that up-close-and-personal to a scene that included CBT and smothering.

I have to say I have new respect for the strength of some male subs. His commitment to pleasing was impressive, as was his ability to take pain...

But what impressed me even more was that I saw no sign of manipulation, or overt plays for sympathy. He stoically took everything that was dished out, made no excuses when he was reprimanded for anything, and appearred to show no lack of trust in his mistress.

I have never met this submissive before, and he was unfailingly polite and gracious. He took my occasional (regrettable but inevitable) intrusion into the scene with grace, thanking me many times for my part in the day's activity.

I know I've heard people mention that often male subs don't get much respect from the maledom/femsub members of the BDSM community, and I just wanted to say that the sub I met today was every bit a man to be respected.

I know I've heard people mention that often male subs don't get much respect from the maledom/femsub members of the BDSM community, and I just wanted to say that the sub I met today was every bit a man to be respected.

Interesting that You bring this up. Because of all the male players, the respect is low for male subs/slaves. But we do exist and are true in our beliefs. They say there are a thousand male subs for every Domme. Factor in all the players and do the math, the ratio is closer to 3 to 1. You witnessed a male submissive today. Pass the word on.

My cubby is a gem. He serves from his heart in any way possible (I mean ANY way).
He cares for my health, hygiene, happiness... In fact I can't think of anything he's ever refused me.
He wishes for a brother in submission, someone who is equally devoted to me in service, but who shares intersts with him too for those times when I give free time... Believe it or not, regardless of the statistics people throw around, it's HARD to find another sincere, poly, giving, dedicated person who just "fits" with us.
 
I love hearing stories of those wonderful male sub/slaves who bring honor to themselves and their brothers. Thank you Cin

I have to admit to being guilty of having slight negative preconceptions about male subs *prepares to be flamed*. Most likely this is because of what VeryFewCan pointed out. There are a lot of male players and most of the self-proclaimed male subs I've come into contact with have only been wanting to use me to act out their own fantasies. I'm a submissive but it often feels like this is irrelevant to them because they see me more as a prop in the fullfillment of their fantasy. I will also say however, I have had the pleasure of meeting several very genuine male subs who are a million miles away from my pre-conceived ideas and I always do my best to not judge people. So in my very long winded way I'm trying to say it's nice to hear stories of someone so genuine and clearly so fullfilled by the lifestyle, especially here where we tend more to criticising that praising people.

Status: offline 		The most truly submissive person I ever met was male.  His late mistress had been Japanese.  He had taken into himself her culture, lived according to her cultural norms, and learned the things that mattered to her and practiced them.  Many years after her death he continued to do things that she had instructed him to do to keep himself centered once she passed.

Knowing him was a delight and the depth of his submission to her touched my soul.

I think it was very eye-opening for me. I do know some male subs but not in terms of having watched them actively involved in submitting, and to be honest they're a bit of a mystery to me. It was lovely to see my domme friend treated so much like a queen, and really interesting for me to actually see how masculine male submission can actually be.

I guess all this talk of sissy-boys, forced feminization, and basic call-me-a-lowly-worm scenes that we hear so much of in reference to male submission really gives an incomplete impression.

Yes, seeing him go to the floor the moment she allowed him in, seeing him kiss her feet in a completely unabashed way despite the fact that a complete stranger stood off to the side watching, really impressed upon me the depth of his love for his mistress. He left his ego outside my door, and laid his heart at my friend's feet, without hesitation.

I have to admit, I have yet to act in such a courageous manner. I like to think that, when the time comes that it's appropriate for me to do so, that I will act with as much grace as he did.

I'm pleased to hear that you were able to witness what many of us already have known to be a special experience.  Many male subs get negatively grouped as "players", but there appears to be just as many female submissives who quickly jump into D/s relationships with the first male Dom who comes along because they have low self-esteem and relationship issues.   There are a lot of people in general who just don't "get it", and I'm not sure that orientation really has anything to do with it.

Status: offline 		The friend of mine who recently passed was a male sub and I was privileged to see him scene once and there are 2 other male subs in one of my groups that watching them in scene or outside of one at a party, the depth of their devotion to their Mistresses brings a smile and even tears. It's truly beautiful to see.

Male subs do get a bad rap because of the players and do me types, but there are serious and fully devoted male subs and slaves out there.

Status: offline 		Living near San Francisco, I get to see all sorts of male submissives and some of the finest acts of "observable" submission have been from male slaves, often but not always gay ones.

Just like being gay in no way has to mean being effeminate, being a submissive male does not have to make one weak.  Male submissives who have their act together are glorious to watch and observe.

So I discovered. Up to this point I've been able to watch heavy pain scenes at a public party involving femdoms and male subs, but this scene went far beyond just CBT, and gave me a new appreciation.

I'm very glad that you had a positive experience to change your impression, or at least what's been left in your mouth by your online interactions with these above types.  I assure you, that is *not* all that submission of the male is about.
