Good Morning, CM,

Okays, there have been some changes of late to the site.
i'm not the only one to have found a glitch here and there.
Could we perhaps add a forum, Ask A Mod, where we could ask lesser questions of the Mods?

i don't have any problem calling attention to the "big stuff" on the otherside.
But sometimes something that is irksome to me could be very trivial in the face of all the other Mod-work.
However if there was a forum where one could ask, " Why can I no longer post photos in threads ? ", the Mods could take on those minor questions as they had time. There's also the possibility that more tech savy site members could answer those questions for the Mods.

i've also noted a few threads have spawned from recent confussion with TOS and the site itself, so this was my idea of a fix-all.

Any thoughts ?

I like the idea, especially since people (myself included) post questions to mods anyways. Lol

I usually see people ask these types of questions at the bottom of the forums in the "Test" section.

That's just it. As i understand, that's where you go to test something out until you get it right. That forum doesn't see a lot of traffic.

i was proposing a forum open to site members and Mods, where you could ask questions regarding TOS, ( just because it can be read doesn't mean it's always understood, like the "grey area" spoke of elsewhere ) or for minor tech support as needed.

A big plus for the Mods is that a lot of the questions could be answered by site members, and the Mods wouldn't have so full of in-boxes with which to contend. If the question couldn't be answered by a site user, then the Mods could step in for the rescue.

BTW- Does anyone know why when i click on " Upload Photo ", the window for my documents will not appear ?

Not a bad idea, if they could swing it, timewise.

I have a feeling the mods would get overwhelmed unless they elected one mod for that section alone and even then I have a feeling it would be the same question time after time.....

"woe is me. the mods are picking on me" or "everyone is fake. what do I do about it?"

i feel you, LW. But there could be a FAQ for such run of the mill questions, i think.
The Mods could state that this forum is not a rant-wall.
Also, the Mods can move such misplaced threads to a better venue. i've seen 'em do it.

The problem is no one ever reads the FAQS or rules so they would constantly be moving every other thread.

I'm inclined to think it might be an interesting idea to try. However, at least for technical issues, a moderator once expressed concerns that well-meaning, but ill-informed posts might make such a forum less than helpful for those seeking solutions in practice.

I like it also. Like you I am sensitive to the mod's time so there are many trivial questions I don't ask. But if there was a forum they could go to as they had the time & inclination then I'd be happy to post there and let them get to it "whenever".

edited to add:
yeah but littlewonder has point. I was thinking reasonable questions not mod rants.

There are ways to keyword select so "why are there so many fakes/fin doms/meanies" not only produces links to relevant links but also FAQ answers. A button for this didn't answer my question can put it into forum that actually needs mod attention

You're going to make fun of me...
i have Windows (not sure what version) and i use Internet Explorer.
Roll on the floor if you must, but i just got the Spell Checker on and not converting everything to Hongul.
And yes, i still look for the "backwards L" key on my laptop.

Up until recently, i had no trouble at all posting pictures into the threads.

Anyone notice the rss feed is broken, it doesn't take you to the post in the RSS window, but only to the head of the forum.

There are myriad other problems on this site, but overall, what the fuck, hah?

Where are you posting them? It seems if some of us try.to do so outside of Random Stupidity, the pics are being pulled. Or something is wrong, somewhere.

This is what happens, and i've tried in every forum just to test.

i click "reply" and my curser turns into a red exclaimation point and makes a clicky noise at me.
So i 'right-click' and click on "open"

The reply window opens.
i click on 'embed picture', then i click on 'upload photo' and get the ! -curser and clicky noise.

So, i 'right-click' again and click 'open' in expectation that the window will open and allow me to upload my photo, but no. The window just will not open.
