Today I'm going to make a pot of spicy black-eyed pea/turkey chili. It has been cold and damp and I've been graving chili. Also, I wanted something with black-eyed peas tomorrow for good luck in the new year. This fits the bill on both counts. There will be enough for today and tomorrow, and probably some left over to freeze.

I'm making a bunch of little appetizers. Crescent crab wontons, some little bacon wrapped smokies that my husband loves, bourbon shrimp, and a few other little things.

YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not a lot of cooking going on here. The night before last I made a pot of my killer chicken veg soup we eat over rice noodles. We've been eating that. Today I cooked a pot of chickpeas and made a big bowl of hummus and some pita chips. I might grill some steaks and bake some potatoes later if Generic Dude gets hungry.

Just having baked potatoes tonight...had chili yesterday with hot dogs and been surviving on Christmas leftovers last week.

I revised dinner. I'm making bourbon grilled shrimp, baked potatoes, and shoepeg corn with the bacon wrapped turkey smokies for my husband.
