well, that's bullshit. but if you want to see murderers everywhere then I suppose you're going to do you best to see them.

what about fencing? all those Olympic fencers, they all want to murder each other too? Olympic wrestling? Karate tournaments? and think about it, why would track exist? why would you have to run so damn fast? to catch up to people to kill them and to run away from people trying to kill you, but why do you have to run that fast? because they are running that fast, so in the end, the answer is still to catch up to people to kill them. quite a lot of sports are translated or come from murder, but that doesn't mean that it's still the intention anymore.

plenty of people on this forum shoot for fun, are you going to hide from them thinking they might kill you? I'm a knife collector, but that's because I want to kill people right? bullshit, it's because I work with Primitive Pursuits and I'm a woodworker by trade. and hey, let's take this to the next logical step. all the people here who like bloodplay, that's just practice for their murder sprees too right?

properly respected guns are not dangerous, people who don't respect the fact that a gun is dangerous is what makes guns dangerous, people who are legitimately insane are dangerous when they get a hold on a gun

yes guns kill, they were designed to kill, but that's not the only reason to shoot one

Again, stay on topic. I didnt bring up killing originally... and murder is a legal definition.

I respect my weapons. They are all locked in a safe... even my bow. I grew up with weapons in the home... had to learn how to clean and secure before I could even think about learning how to shoot.

You made assumptions here without facts. Typical.... and your lack of knowledge is showing.

Guns are also a collectors item ... many collect different weapons from different time periods that are never fired. Im surprised no one even thought of that.... actually.... no Im not. However, that doesnt mean they wont be stolen and fired. Or "borrowed" and fired.

I doubt you would understand the reason though. And, frankly, as short sighted as I have seen many on this thread to be on this topic.... especially you.... its not worth going into.

Status: offline 		(CNN) -- Outcry over a request for permission to sue the state of Connecticut for millions of dollars in the aftermath of the Newtown shooting prompted a New Haven attorney to at least temporarily withdraw his client's petition, the attorney said Tuesday.

"I was getting hundreds of (Facebook) comments" about the potential lawsuit. "So I figured I'd take (the request) off the table for now," said Irving Pinsky, who represents the parents of a 6-year-old survivor of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school.

Last week, Pinsky said in his filing that the state had failed to protect his client from what he described as "foreseeable harm."

he may refile... who knows.

Yes the point of a gun is to shoot a bullet. That can be done with targets and not involve killing at all.

Status: offline 		I see that the suit was dropped. As a teacher, I think schools are in a no win situation sometimes. It is irresponsible to give out keys to everyone who subs. That is a safety issue in itself. We had regular intruder drills, and lockdown drills, but I am not sure what they did about subs who did not have keys. The whole reason glass panes were cut into every classroom door at our school is so people could "see what was going on in there," and we were not permitted to cover the pane with any decoration. So if everything is lock tight secure, then people cannot see into the rooms, and subs are running around with keys. But if subs do not get keys and people CAN see in (presumably to make sure we aren't beating them or something)....that means there is a vulnerability. What exactly is a school supposed to do.

I think most people understand that even in their own home with them RIGHT THERE....there is no way to 100% guarantee safety. That is life. Tp expect a school to have every single possible eventuality covered while at the same time being accessible enough to be "checked up on,".....well, it just isn't possible.

It's clouded as to why you wouldn't just answer the question. Would have been much simpler for you, and would have taken much less time. I suppose you could be dancing around the answer so you can get more typing practice, though I doubt you need it.

Status: offline 		On October 20, 2006, by a unanimous verdict, jurors found Weller guilty on all charges, convicting him of vehicular manslaughter for killing 10 pedestrians. The sentence was to be decided by the Court, with a maximum penalty of 18 years.

On November 20, 2006, Weller received probation on all counts after a judge determined that Weller was too ill to go to prison, where he would likely be a burden on prison authorities and taxpayers. Weller was a month short of his 90th birthday. He was also ordered to pay more than $100,000 in fines and restitution to the victims' families.

Law changed for elderly drivers in 2008 based upon another case that happened sooner than Weller.

But noone is trying to outlaw cars are they? Yaknow the TOOL that was misused in this case by someone who was mentally deficient.
btw, my parents who are both well into their 70's recently renewed by mail.
