Has anyone had brandings or tatto's that show Ownership and then that relationship has desolved...what did you do to explain it to a New Master? halo...

My brand is very personal to me, as it indicates not only the fact that I had been a Slave, but that I am a Switch, and that I am Suleiman. Very convenient, that. However, I make no excuses for how I came by it, I consider it a point of honor to have been so devoted to my former owner. I suppose some dominants might consider such a territorial marking to be grounds for some sort of body-art pissing contest, but I do not play with some dominants, I play with My dominants, and I make damned sure they respect me for me before I ever kneel before them. I have to agree, if you were proud and honored by your last master, you should have to exlpain it. If they get upset about it, they might not be the right person for you. Of course you have the option of tattooing over the old one or changing it into something else. But to me that would feel like dishonoring that Master. (Unless it was a totally bad relationship.)

Were I to find a sub with a mark from a former Dom/me I would ask him to tell Me about it! I would honour the courage and commitment reflected in that mark and would not mark over or change it. It is part of a person's history and part of their path. Now if the sub wanted the mark changed or removed, I might consider it. As I am a graphic artist, I do logo design and might perhaps incorporate that mark or brand into a new mark. I would only do this if the slave himself wanted the mark changed or effaced. my last Dom was a tattoo artist . he did the only 2 tats i have , one on my lower back and one on the nape of my neck(a steel lock attatched to 2 interlocking chains). he also scarred me on my right shoulder , its a mark that i run my fingers over alot . i wanted the lock for myself. i wanted it because it was a symbol of who i was and am . ive never regreted them . ive never had to explain them either. until now ...smiles

Thank you All for helping me. i thought about it and have rekindled a relationship with my first Dom..who now i don't need to explain things to. He already knows the history. i was afraid of being cast away, but seeing others where i have been helps. Everyone have a great day, and again thank you.
