Doing some Googling; is this an older "story"? If so, my apologies... looks like it may be.

More horseshit. The US govt. was all over his ol'man when they got to Hawaii and new then and there Obama was born...there.

Think about it kinkroids, do you think a mulatto baby born to a white women, married to a black Kenyan in the 1960's...would go unnoticed ? Not hardly.

Even if he was born elsewhere, Bush II was born in Texas right ? That's worse.

It's an older story that's part-n-parcel of a recently filed lawsuit against Obama.

More obfuscation. The INS was indeed all over Obama Sr. when they got to Hawaii but even if Obama Jr. was born there and the INS knew it then and there it doesn't matter because Obama Sr. was never a U.S. citizen.

You are correct -- a mulatto baby born to a white American woman and a black Kenyan man in the 1960's would not hardly go unnoticed. Funny, no one who lived near the mulatto baby with the white American mother and black Kenyan father has ever said they noticed -- perhaps that's because according to what the INS knew then and there the mulatto baby's mother and father were not living at the same address. Additionally, and also according to what the INS knew then and there, the INS recommended that Obama Sr. be questioned in depth before another extension of his student visa is granted AND that if his mother petitions the INS for another such extension that an investigation into the veracity of their marriage be conducted. Facts are funny things, they just are...facts.

Think about it Kool-Aid drinkers: Do you actually believe the Founding Fathers, having risked their lives to free themselves from being governed by the King of England, would put into the U.S. Constitution a presidential eligibility clause which would allow someone born to a father whose sole allegiance was to the King of England to serve as President? Not hardly.

Don't Mess With Texas!

I think the birthers in the USA are rather like policeman in the UK. They're silly and somewhat embarrassing, but sort of quaint and endearing at the same time. They bring in the tourists. Don't knock them.

RacerJim,

Your posts annoy me somewhat, so I've decided to gather up a team of ten Redcoats, sail the Atlantic and retake your country. All Americans will swear allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Victoria (or whoever is our monarch at present, I can't be bothered to Google and find out), or be crushed ruthlessly underfoot. I hope that's OK with you.

We should look the issue separately from the question where Obama was born. So, "birthers" label is not necessary. The Obama birth certificate posted electronically on official WH page was a computer-generated fake. This is a fact. Since, they have replaced (see WH web page) the originally posted document with other. It also tells something. Why do people deny the truth that does not fit their agenda beats me. Sign of stupidity?

Birthers are idiots.

No, I won't be running over to Butch's apology thread, in case anyone is bothered by that statement.

If you can teach them to not foam at the mouth while looking under the bed for monsters, I might be inclined to cut them some slack.

Peon,

The birthers are the reason that I hoped so much that the 2008 election would bring about a US Supreme Court ruling on what exactly "natural born citizen" meant.  It is unfortunate that it did not as it was the perfect opportunity.

Honestly, Aylee, I'm not eager to see SCOTUS looking for even more esoteric meanings in the clear phrasings of our Constitution. A US citizen from birth, as opposed to someone who became a citizen at a later time. What's hard?

What constitutes a citizen from birth?  Location or parentage or both or either?

Obama was not born in Hawaii, he was born on the third planet around Tau Ceti.

According to US law, either.

When Romney's dad ran for POTUS back in '68, it was well known that he was born in a Mormon colony in Mexico.
Noone said shit.

Then why were there questions about McCain and why do we keep having to hear about Obama?
