I've just moved back to DFW (I was born in Dallas originally, but left when I was young). I'm interested in getting to know the local scene and the people in it and also to talk, share ideas and learn with people here no matter where they live. I love a story either in a scene or just hearing other people's. I believe in collars, but also hard limits. I live an organized, comfortable life and have worked very hard to get there. I plan to put the same kind of work into learning "the ropes" [;)] in the lifestyle. Amd like most other dominants I've met online I am apparently only too happy to talk about myself.

Welcome to the DFW Area.  It has a pretty good local scene and a lot of nice people.  Hope you enjoy it here.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I've been sorting through some of the online calendars and such and wonder if there are any munches you would recommend to start out?

I really enjoyed reading your profile, by the way, very clear and concise, and your experience shows. I'm taking notes.

I think one of the best munches to get started with is Fourth Friday.  You probably ran across it in your searches.  It is a very non-threatening munch in a BBQ restaurant.  Nice group of people, sometimes draws a 200+ crowd.  It's open to everyone in the BDSM world--Dom/mes, subs, slaves, switches, tops, bottoms, straight, bi, gay, lesbian, poly, experienced, newbie, and anything else I might have missed.  If you are curious, you can purchase a ticket to go to the dungeon afterward.  If not, you can just attend the munch. 
 
It's coming up this Friday, June 23rd.

Of course, they'd strongly prefer you RSVP, but I've never known them to turn away those who didn't.

Hijack away joyinslavery, I learned more too. I'll have to see if I can arrange to fly home a day early this week. I did see that munch on the calendar Lady Topaz, and it sounds like a good time.Thanks for the recomendation. What could be better than bondage and BBQ? [sm=crop.gif]
