Older women know who they are what they want and have done more than the younger ones . My ex's have mostly nbeen about 10 yrs younger . I am dating a 55 yr old and loving it . We have more in common and when I ask her about something from my child hood I don't get a strange face or get asked who was that ? I know she is only 5 yrs older but damn when I talk to her she get what I am saying . I never have to explain myself or tell her who the Who are . I was born in 62 . I told my ex one time I got some scars from my tour in Nam . I was 8 when I was drafted and was the youngest Tunnel Rat in the US Army . Told her a grenade went off not far from me and the patched me up and sent me home . I was 9 then . She asked if it still hurt . What gave me away was when she asked my brother about it and he peed his pants he laughed so hard . I would have thought when I went looking for blonde hair whe would have caught on .

This is an exceptional quotation, no matter who wrote it! (And true, by the way!)

Personally? I find younger men MUCH more exciting, spontaneous, and adventuresome (and I'm not talking just behind closed doors either) than males my age and older. (Many, not all) older men are tired, complain, need a map drawn with circles and arrows, are cheap, and too set in their ways. They have beer guts (they are proud of), tend to ask "why?" rather than "when?" and think wearing T-shirts with crass comments are a form of dressing up.

I am not, however, interested in males young enough to be my children or grandchildren. There is truly such a thing as a "generation gap...or two... or three.... or......

The following has often been credited to Andy Rooney, even though he made it clear he did not write it, but whoever it was written by, I like it!

As I grow in age, I value women who are over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:

An older woman will never wake you in the middle of the night to ask, "What are you thinking?" She doesn't care what you think. If an older woman doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do. And it's usually something more interesting.

An older woman knows herself well enough to be assured in who she is, what she is, what she wants and from whom.

Few women past the age of 40 give a damn what you might think about her or what she's doing.

An older woman usually has had her fill of "meaningful relationships" and "commitment." The last thing she wants in her life is another dopey, clingy, whiny, dependent lover!

Older women are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it.

Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated.

An older woman has the self-assurance to introduce you to her women friends. A younger woman with a man will often ignore even her best friend because she doesn't trust the guy with other women. An older woman couldn't care less, because she knows her friends won't betray her.

Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to an older woman. They always know anyway!

An older woman looks good wearing bright red lipstick. This is not true of younger women or drag queens.

Once you get past a wrinkle or two, an older woman is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Her libido's stronger, her fear of pregnancy gone. Her experience of lovemaking is honed and reciprocal, and she's lived long enough to know how to please a man in ways her younger cousin could never dream of.

Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off that you are a jerk if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her.

Yes, we praise older women for a multitude of reasons.

Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed hot woman of 40+, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year-old.

I usually can't stand younger guys. I usually feel like I'm talking to thin air when they get that look on their face that they have no idea what you are talking about.

Then again, I felt that way with my daughter last week when I gave her a bumper sticker for her car that is a kitty with a helmet on and it says Fuzz Aldren. She didn't get it.
