Hi everyone! I just made my profile last night and am still very new to this site/lifestyle, but from the limited time I have been here I can say that I am very impressed with the community as a whole. I have friends in the gay scene and have always been jealous of their tight-knit community, it is nice to see that the bdsm scene is similar. I have always had the desire of submission to a strong female, but living in the bible belt and a good way from most major cities, I haven't had much luck and have had to live with vanilla relationships :/

This site is amazing, but most of it's users are from the northeast or out of the U.S. I do not have a problem with traveling to meet people, but I can tell a lot of the users are jaded by fakes for "wank fodder". Anyone else have the same problem or any advice?

Hi, Chance. Welcome to CM!

Since you asked for advice, here are a couple of quick tips for you. First, you may be seeing people outside the US because you need to update your search settings on the profile side. CollarMe has *loads* of people in the US, including the Bible Belt, so make sure you check that out.

Second, I suggest updating your profile using this link: Profile Help: How to Attract a Dominant Woman As a male sub, I'm afraid the odds are not in your favor when it comes to finding a partner online, so you really want to make sure your profile shines in order to stand out from the crowd. You should also check out any TNG (The Next Generation) groups in your town or the surrounding area. TNG usually caters to the 18-35 crowd and is a valuable resource for learning a wide variety of things.

Last, but not least, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but the BDSM "community" isn't nearly as close-knit as you might think. In fact, kinksters can be a pretty fractious and judgmental lot. That doesn't mean you won't be welcomed, it just means there are sadists here, so fair warning.

Thanks for the tips and the link! I will definitely update my profile so it stands out and has a unique feel to it.

I may be overly optimistic regarding the kinkster community, but I do like what I have seen so far. At the very least, everyone seems intelligent, lol.
