The tax rates are here to stay. The cuts are yet to come. CNN had a good article about how , if the mandatory cuts had stayed in effect, what the results for the economy would have been.

Thanks for the link.

And, still, the automatic spending cuts were put off 2 months. The tax increases are immediate (as is the permanence of the Bush Tax Cuts for those that didn't have their rates raised). What is the incentive to really pass tax cuts?

Tazzy... this Government is spending us into oblivion, it is plain and simple

72 THOUSAND DOLLARS AN HOUR to fly B-52's, just in case we need to launch a nuclear raid on Moscow, and all the AGM-86's aren't available or something....

Good...it should be...now lets pay our bills or stop our wars and bring our soldiers home....either way it is about time we take responsibility for who we elected to office and the decisions they made.

Happy Now!

This one is on the President and The Democrats...

Screw the middle class.

Even with deal, 77.1% of U.S. households would take a hit

No No No....Daddy...Obama is going to make everything right...here's the deal (apparently you've not been watching things).

Obama is going to make the tax situation good for everyone (meaning, no new taxes on most, higher taxes on the highest).

So....as I am informed....98% of the population will pay NO new/higher taxes....(because....that's what he said)...97% are going to get a tax CUT (he said that too).

I hope you're not smoking doob because....that's what he said....and I believe him.

S'wut it is bud....it's the new law....98% will pay no more...and 97% are gonna pay less....because that's the way to lower the deficit. Seriously...cut taxes on most...that's the way to pay off our debt.....really....that's it man.

Clearly you're smoking doob, 'cause it's already been proven..

So...98% are going to see their take home weekly taxes stay the same or fall, as best as I can tell from what I was told.

Yeah...that's it...98%....it's all good.

It should be 100% of households taking a hit.
