Status: offline 		When I was in high school, I had a Chemistry teacher who was reputed to be brilliant. He was the only teacher on staff who had his doctorate, and the school administration was quite proud to have him.

HOWEVER, he was like an absent-minded professor. One time, he conducted a chemistry experiment on a counter in the front of the room. It was some type of acidic mixture and he leaned over it. What he didn't realize is that his tie got into the mixture and the acid ate it away. Needless to say, the students got quite a laugh.

The students didn't find the next thing he did very amusing. He set up an experiment that involved a small explosion on the counter in the front of the room. Right after he set it off, he took off running and got as far away as possible. He didn't consider the students sitting just a few feet away. Fortunately, no one got hurt.

I took him for two semesters during my junior year and managed to get A's and not get injured in the process. We had our choice of seating and I chose the back of the room.

Status: offline 		People who push buttons without thinking can be pretty stupid.

Flash back to 1985, I'm in shop class adjusting the belt of a lathe. Another guy walks over and says, "It's halfway over, you don't have to pull it the rest of the way." and presses the power button while I'm still holding on to the belt.

Fortunately, the person who used the lathe before me was also terminally stupid, and didn't fasten the belt cover on properly, so when I managed to snap my fingers out from the belt before they were crushed and severed, my hand wasn't blocked by the loose top. Instead, the loose top flew gracelessly through the air to hit someone wielding a jigsaw in the head.

He got a small bump and said, "ow." I had to go see a doc about having holes burned in my nails to release the blood. The iodine hand wash afterwards didn't hurt at all, despite what I was told to expect. My fingers still have a permanent tilt to them from having the bones wrenched. It was a good day to have quick reflexes.

Status: offline 		In 1980, two friends and I graduated early. Out of the three of us, one other and myself were already on the US Army Delayed Enlistment program.

We were target shooting with revolvers shooting into targets placed against a berm so there was no chance of hitting anything if you were aiming in the right direction.

We started a game where we placed a poker chip on the back of our weak hand, dropping it and drawing the pistol to shoot the poker chip.

Now, the son of the ranch owner thought this was a great game.

So he got himself all set, dropped his hand, the poker chip dropped, and he drew and fired his pistol, a 44 magnum.

This would have been well and good IF he were facing the berm where the targets were. He wasnt.

He missed the poker chip, but managed to hit a $15000 breeding bull between the eyes.

This was at 10AM. By 5:30 he was on his way to his way to the recruitment contract center in Dallas and by 3PM the next day he was on his way to basic.

The US army made this young man a forward observer for artillery.

There is a small black and gray cat that I found abandoned under a tree in my yard in 2009. I started feeding him, but he decided to join my neighbor's outdoor cat clan.

With his black and gray coloring, he blends into the pavement and you can barely see him in the road. I cannot count the number of times I have found him lying in the middle of the street, forcing me to stop and go around him. I have yelled at him, honked at him, etc., to no avail. All I can say is that the people in my neighborhood are amazingly observant drivers, since he has survived this long.

I thought he might be deaf, but that isn't the case. When I see him in the yard and call out to him, he always turns and looks at me. Terminally stupid certainly applies to him, and I hope it doesn't result in him being terminated.

Actually, from the cats I have had the misfortune to share a home with, they seem to think they are above the humans in the scheme of things. This means that they consider themselves a higher form of creature, not quite godlike, but close enough.

Since they are superior, they are not required to move to allow us an easy passage along our paths, we are supposed to detour around them.

Well, I hope his high falutin' strategy continues to work for him, LOL. He's been doing this since 2009 and hasn't been hit yet. Whoever abandoned him picked a good neighborhood--people who feed strays and drive around cats lying in the middle of the road.

One of my cats thoroughly despises him and wishes he would get hit, but I kind of like the little fellow.

I am thankful that my two cats, while they may consider themselves superior, don't tempt fate in dangerous ways like that.

Status: offline 		Getting back to terminally stupid people, a certain male submissive comes to mind. We have monthly Femdom lunches and one of the Dommes happened to mention that this submissive stood her up for a first meeting date. Another Domme's ears perked up when she heard his name, because this submissive was supposed to be collared by a friend of hers and in an exclusive relationship. The first Domme showed the guy's picture, and the second Domme confirmed that yes, he was in fact her friend's "collared submissive."

The second Domme of course told her friend, who confronted the submissive when he arrived at her home that evening. He was speechless. He didn't even attempt to explain, just picked up his things and walked out the door. Totally busted.

Moral of the story: If you're going to cheat, don't go standing people up. If he hadn't done that, he might have gotten away with it.

However, I know this guy and can confirm his stupidity myself from long before that. We one time had an appointment for a phone call so I could interview him. He messaged me that morning, saying he was so excited, and confirming that the call was still on. I told him it was and looked forward to our call that evening. However, when I called him, I went to voicemail! I messaged him for an explanation. No explanation ever received. Then a few days later, he sent me another introductory letter, as if he had never had contact with me. I angrily told him that what I expected was an apology, not another introductory letter. He replied and said, "Ma'am, I hope you have a forgiving heart." I told him forgiveness was not my strong suit and he could just go to hell. Then about a month later, he sent me another message as if he had never had contact with me saying, "Ma'am, we are so close in age and live in the same area. I wonder why we haven't met yet." At this point, I just invoked the block button. He still views my profile periodically and probably wonders why he's blocked.

And that's not the last of it. Another Domme friend had prior dealings with him as well. He contacted her and they agreed to meet for lunch. She felt like they didn't click, thanked him for the lunch, and they both went on their ways. Then, about a week later, she got an introductory message from him, as if they had never met.

I think terminally stupid is an understatement for this guy!

I think it's hilarious, too. When I meet someone, I definitely remember them for a good long while. It amazes me that some people don't.

Speaking of terminally stupid. Recently, we (the ex and I) had an amiable conversation in which he described Houston and the 'illegal immigrant' problem there. Now his girlfriend is hispanic, and I askd him about that - since he was being so blatantly prejudiced toward hispanic/latino individuals. His answer was, and I quote:

Oh, her family has been in Houston for over a hundred years so she's...almost an American.

Yeah. he said that.

I think the best example I have seen was the politicians under the recent climate conference in Copenhagen. Every single one of them arrived in a massive big gas-guzzler with only one man in it. How can they ever expect the public at large to reduce the co2 emissions after a display like that.

Another example of terminally stupid? To get to work, I need to drive through a construction zone on the freeway. The posted speed limit is 50 mph, for normal road conditions. Most of the time, people are going 65 to 70 mph. During the heavy rain we had the last couple of days, you'd think they'd slow down a little. Ideally, they should go less than 50, but many were still speeding along at 65 to 70 mph as they normally do. One day, there were even two accidents on the opposite side of the freeway. You'd think that would motivate people to go slower, but it had no effect whatsoever.
