Does anyone know of any websites that have anonymous wishlists- besides extremerestraints?

MaitresseEden -> RE: Wishlists (11/7/2004 6:13:19 PM)

What do you mean by Annonymous? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having them?

MistressFire70 -> RE: Wishlists (11/7/2004 6:24:18 PM)

What do you mean by wishlist? To me, this a list of things I'd like to have as gifts. If this is the case, places like amazon.com can be used. Lots of places accept "Mistress" as a first name. LOL

You can use walmart now as well.

They can send you up to 200$ in a gift card to your email address. They can send as many 200$ cards as they like.

When I get my email cards I go to walmart.com myself and then send myself gift cards in the us mail. I can pay for them with the email gift card. This buys my groceries, household cleaning supplies and my medications. I never have to give any of my personal information to anyone.

You can use the emailed cards at walmart.com for online purchases, but I wold rather pay the 1.87 to mail myself a card and drive the 1/2 mile to the store as opposed to paying for shipping. And besides you cannot get your groceries mailed to you..;-)

I have an account on Amazon that is completely anon, if as in anon you mean they know nothing about you. All they do is type in my email address and can shop from my wishlist. My shipping address is never given out.

Alright- let Me clarify. By anonymous I mean having a wishlist- or things you want for Christmas and anyone can go over to that site and type in your made up name and see what you want and order what they want you to have. The company sends it to you without the person ordering knowing what your address or real name is. So, no, it does not defeat the purpose.
Thank you, mod 3 for the detailed walmart ecard info. Never thought of doing that...

GoddessDustyGold -> RE: Wishlists (11/9/2004 1:01:48 AM)

Yes, many places allow wish lists and keep your information confidential. I am glad to hear about Walmart Myself. Thanks Mod Trey! Hadn't got there yet. Great one!
Amazon.com, Victoria's Secret.com, xtremerestraints.com. I suggest you vist the websites of any major companies where you like to shop, and I believe you will find many following in the footsteps of Amazon, and have wish list availability now. I know there are many more, but they escape Me for the moment.

MiladyElaine -> RE: Wishlists (11/9/2004 5:45:05 AM)

Thanks GoddessDustyGold. I guess I was hoping for another bdsm site besides extremerestraints. Don't reallly like that one's prices...wish I could find one that has a good selection of clothing and toys and a wishlist! It seems to be hard to get it all together..

They do wishlists, not sure they are anonymous.

MiladyElaine -> RE: Wishlists (11/10/2004 1:27:54 AM)

Thank you SO much, BeachMystress!
I will check them out and get back...

MiladyElaine -> RE: Wishlists (11/10/2004 2:47:55 AM)

The first you mentioned is great for toys. I decided to use two.
Biggalslingerie.com has leather, vinyl and costumes also.
Once again, thanks.

Extreme Restraints wishlists are NOT anonymous, as I found out yesterday. An ex sub had to ask me my address to send a gift. Below is my question to ER about this, and their response. They claim to have never had an anonymous purchase wishlist, although I do know it was touted as such when I signed up for it.

address manually. Why was that

reply:
Dear Beachmystress,

We have a really strong policy on protecting the privacy our our customers
and site members.
It's outlined in our information section. By requiring the purchaser to know
the shipping address, it protects both you and our company.
There are so many situations where we might have to reveal the address we
send the goods too, in order to resolve a dispute or follow up on shipping
problems.
There are also a lot of liability concerns on our part for doing so. The
best protection for both our customers (you) and ourselves is to require
that the purchaser know where they are sending things.

If this is a problem for you, you may want to set up a shipping address at a
mail server.
Many pro dommes do this and have their clients send items to their mail
service instead of to their homes.
Mail services can sign for packages on your behalf if it is something that
is sent signature required for proof of receipt, if you give them permission
to do so.

I hope this makes you feel confident that we've got everyone's best
interests at heart.
We really strive to provide the best customer service we can and to protect
the privacy of all our customers.

Warm Regards,
Kelly

When I signed up for the wishlist it was touted as being one that was
anonymous. I was never notified of a change in service and was
surprised to find out that it was no longer what I expected. Thanks
for letting me know about this change.

Beach Mystress,

It is anonymous, we do not give out any explicitly revealing information
whatsoever. We would in no way endanger you or your identity. That is why we
do not give out any information. It is up to you to share your list with
whomever you choose. Our policy has never changed from when we first
instituted it. If we were to 'coordinate' between buyers and receivers,
there would be no good way for us to keep things anonymous between the two
parties. So we do not do it. It is up to you to arrange things if you wish
to receive goods from someone. Our wishlist is provided so you can share
your desired items, if you choose to do so.
You can elect to not display your wish list if you choose.
