Not a phone sex veteran by any means but I have dabbled in it and have enjoyed it when I did. It takes some imagination on the part of the phone sexers. I liken it to the concept of how all of your other senses that you still have become more acute when you lose one of them. When there is no actual person to person contact involved other areas of your brain are required to step up. Some people dig it and some do not.

I learned the hard way to be very careful about sexting. My husband always sends me a text when he gets off of work. He works in a city about an hour away and it give me a chance to ask him to run by the store on his way home. Right around the time he was due to get off I got a text saying homeward bound. I sent a very sexually explicit text back. We do that now and then and I smiled waiting for his text back. Instead my best friend sends WTF???? I asked her what was wrong and she says I tell you I am on my way home and you send that? Ever feel the blood draining from your face before?? I did that day and sent back OMG that was not for you, I thought you were dear husband. She cracked up laughing and said oh my god that is going on facebook. I was still sitting there dying of embarrassment when my husband sends a text saying off of work you need anything. I told him oh now that I am dying you are coming home. He asked what was wrong and I told him I was not saying. He found out when he saw it on facebook when my best friend wrote that awkward moment when you get a very sexual text from your best friend meant for her husband. Once I found out it was not meant for me it was funny as hell. She tagged my husband. OY always double and triple check the name before sending a text like that.

Okay. You'll have a heyday with this I'm sure.

I had a phone sex partner in the past i.e., we met through the Internet and only had phone sex (never met this guy). We did not cam or anything like that. We were regular phone sex partners for years (and yeah, we were both seeing other people at the time - but I really don't want to get into a was it cheating discussion). To this day, we have never met. We now don't engage in regular phone sex anymore.

At the time, it really enhanced my other relationship. It just did.

Oddly, I don't enjoy phone sex at all with someone I'm involved with in the flesh and blood. I don't know why (and maybe some of you have some thoughts on this), but any time in my past (either before or after the phone sex guy came into my life) when I tried to do phone sex I just became unbearably self-conscious and just thought, "this is stupid". With someone I'm involved with, I just want to be with them, and if I can't, phone sex is such a poor substitute I would just really rather not.

What's even worse: when you text something naughty to your partner only to find out you texted it to your sister or adult daughter. OMG. hahaha. Thankfully they both just rolled their eyes at me. [:D]

So yeah....always, always double check who you're texting!
