Have not seen it yet. As with most movies of it's expected calibre I will likely just wait and purchase the DVD as soon as it is available.

I give it a B.

95% of the movie was terrific, 5% was Tarentino being "cute", which I hate, because it is so unnecessary. By cute, I mean those self-indulgent winks, like when something dramatic happened, and you'd hear the"whizzing bullet" music and the camera would rapidly zoom in on the character.

And some of the violence was over the top, even for Tarentino lol.

I love Tarantino but will probably wait until Django is out on DVD. Just watched Pulp Fiction for the nth time - love the Gimp scene!

When Rick Ross started blaring in the background during one scene, he lost me. LOL.

I absolutely loved it as I do most of his films. Leonardo DiCaprio was terrific! It was fun to watch and the nearly three hours flew by. But then, I didn't sit there deciding if everything that happened was historically accurate or trying to mentally make the movie the "correct" way as so many critics did. I want to say to all the movie critics: "It's for FUN. Watch it and move on." No one goes into a museum and says "This painting is ok but I would have used yellow, not blue and I would've used watercolor not oil, etc." Well, some do, but they're narcissistic blowhards. HE made the movie, take it or leave it. I'll take it!

I'm not a huge Tarantino fan, but he hit it out of the park on this one.

Tarantino can do no wrong for me. I LOVED the film. He is in his own category of filmaking.

Master and I saw it on Christmas Day and we laughed hysterically the entire time. It was a beautiful movie, just the right punchlines at the right time, a good, thought-provoking view on history. Once again, Tarantino has outdone himself. I see another cult classic for him.

Yeah...when the Klan and Mandingo fight popped up, I figured the history geek in me shouldn't get her panties in a bunch. The former came about after the Civil War and the latter, well, there's no consensus of that sort of thing happening, at least on a large scale.

I like that the film was western, comic bookish, thriller and love story all wrapped in one. Tarentino is a boss.

Samuel L. Jackson was absolutely hysterical!

When Master said about wanting to see it, I have to say I didn't think I'd like it. Master is a big Tarantino fan but I really wasn't. I didn't like Pulp Fiction even though everyone else loved it. But this movie had me laughing so much I couldn't stop. So I think Master is growing on me with his Tarantino movies.

A few days ago the Historical Accuracy section in wiki mentioned that dynamite and the Klan arrived on the scene in the 1860's rather than 1850's but this section is no longer there. Regardless, I don't mind a little dramatic license.

There was no KKK in the movie, just vigilantes trying to hide their identities, the word 'mandingo' goes back to the 1600s, slave fights were popular at the time, the ending of the fights went to show DeCaprio's character's nature.

The dynamite and one scene with the horses in the snow, were inaccurate.

Saw it, loved it, and chuckled at the obvious wink that Sam Jackson looked exactly like uncle ben, which was basically the character he played.

Who didn't love jamie fox? Every movie that man touches is illumunated by him.
I almost didn't want to see this movie, but I knew tarantino would handle it right!
