I was at the grocery store picking up a few things this morning.
The woman in front of me, was a couple of dollar short.
When I saw the frantic and embarrassed look on her face.
I offered her what she was short.
She looked at me with wide eyes and asked if I was sure.
I'm far from rich, but I believe in playing things forward.

It is a rule of thumb for me. When I am at my tightest financially, that is when I make sure I donate money somewhere, somehow. It's amazing how, if you really look, you can always find something to give. It helps keep things in perspective.

I got the chance to do a small one today - gave a chocolate bar to the jolly postman who delivers to our office.

Tomorrow we're at the baby clinic so I'm going to take two boxes of nappies that are too small and some of the many newborn toys we got gifted that my daughter never played with and has already outgrown. The staff there will know who can use them. I'm also going to take thank you cards for the staff who are all great.

On Friday I need to go into the city so baby and I are going to make a day of it. Going to stop by the pound shop to buy some cheap umbrellas, trolley tokens and bags of candy to give out. There's always a homeless man outside selling magazines so I will make a point of taking him some lunch. I have a ton of small change in my purse so I will leave some on the parking ticket machines, near the stand with all the gumball and sweetie dispensers and wherever else. On the way back we'll go via the two old-folks homes that are nearby and drop off some flowers and sweets to be given out (couldn't convince my daughter to join in making pictures with me this time). If the weather is reasonable, we might walk to the playground and leave one or two surprises there. Yay I'm excited!
