Well...................kinda.

"Good news, Congress! You’re more popular than telemarketers, the deadly ebola virus, gonorrhea, the Kardashians, Lindsay Lohan, communism, disgraced Democratic former Sen. John Edwards, playground bullies and meth labs.

Bad news, Congress! Americans still have a higher opinion of head lice, colonoscopies, cockroaches, Nickelback, the NFL replacement refs, and Donald Trump"

The funny thing is that people look at me like I'm nuts when I say quite seriously I'd much prefer to have a random draw than what we have. I'm pretty sure a random draw would beat out "head lice". I'm pretty sure that "a random american" would not be as left/right as what we have. I'm pretty sure that "a random american" would have more honor and integrity than what we have.... by far.

Polls like this just underscore the point.

I just thought everyone could use a good nonpartisan laugh after the recent drama.

You know it's bad when the replacement refs and Donald Trump are more liked than Congress.

Most of Congress have less amusing hairstyles than Trump.

I wonder if one focus solely on the Republicans in Congress, if they get higher ratings than:

"...telemarketers, the deadly ebola virus, gonorrhea, the Kardashians, Lindsay Lohan, communism, disgraced Democratic former Sen. John Edwards, playground bullies and meth labs." ?

Though specific parties weren't asked about, there are some interesting factoids:
  • Congress's has a favorable rating of 9% (85% unfavorable) overall
  • Congress's has a favorable rating of 13% (82% unfavorable) with Democrats
  • Congress's has a favorable rating of 9% (87% unfavorable) with Republicans
  • Congress's has a favorable rating of 11% (81% unfavorable) with men
  • Congress's has a favorable rating of 6% (89% unfavorable) with women
  • Congress narrowly lost to "carnies" (39 - 31 with 30% unsure)

Possibly, or they could be dragging the average popularity down after the last round of tantrums and shouting over trying to fix a budget.

I say we lock all the members of the senate and house in the capital building, seal all restrooms but one, and feed everyone inside a combination of taco bell and laxatives.

And, then, start releasing dust into the air. Taco Bell + Laxatives + Sneezing = Bipartisan Cooperation! Brilliant!!!
