Personally I enjoyed 9 1/2 weeks & The Secretary, so I may enjoy this flik. Does not mean I'll put it to the top of my Hot Erotic Movies I Must View More Than Once tho. :) I read the first book, started the second but never finished it so I'm not expecting riveting movie making w/ hot scene's here. I do give many props to the author for even writing this and making it a mainstream sensation. I'm sure many people gratefully realized "Oh thank God I'm not the only one with these thoughts" after reading it. :) ~servos cor~

To be completely forthright, I read the first book of the series MERELY to see what all the fuss was about. After reading it I had no desire whatsoever to read past that point. My personal opinion is that it did not represent an accurate description of what a D/s relationship entails. It was merely an over zealous story of a kinky, sexual romp that has been sensationalized enough to bring the author lots of $$$. And that's fine. As for a movie? It doesn't surprise me in the least. But I believe in order for it to even remotely echo the book, it would need to be rated beyond N17. However I look for it to have no rating. With the number of women walking around with their legs crossed since the book came out? I trust it to be a box office hit. Will I want to see it? Hmm.... I'm very highly doubtful that I will. ^ Gotta love the story of O. It's like an in depth retrospective documentary look at pubic hair. Eating live monkey brains is one thing but having a hairy monkey growing between your legs is another story entirely. As far as 50 shades the movie goes, I expect it will be as sad, lame and sexless as Eyes Wide Shut. I predict the community will love hating the movie as much as they love hating the book. If they do manage to make the movie look appealing in any way, I predict CollarMe will start getting a million plus new visitors each month instead of the 200 thousand it now enjoys. I also predict you will start meeting your school teachers and the mailman at your next BDSM munch where everyone will have very deep discussions about the true differences between slave & sub and where consensual boundaries cross the SSC edicts and how to report bad Doms to the police. Good luck with all that eh? 50 shades the movie... like we need a bunch of horny vanilla fuckin' sex zombie tourists imposing their judgmental bullshit on our world. God help us all... first it was SSC now the end is near and it is coming in the form of a movie.

I read all 3 books, mainly to see what the fuss was about.....I enjoyed them for the material that they were. I read them rather late, and honestly, listening to the vanillas around me talking about the books just made me want to laugh. The way the conversations were going, I expected a whole lot more D/s scenes in it than the 2 or 3 that were in the first book. NC-17, tho? That's a little tame......just nudity in most movies gets it an R rating. Time will tell, I guess...would I spend theater prices to see it? Nah, maybe wait for it to go into the redbox stations.
