Status: offline 		Is it a thing with D/s? why do, apparently, most doms have either a beard or mustache, or whatever-- facial hair?

Status: offline 		For some, the gotee and side burns give the bad boy look which gives that dominace/dangerous appeal. Some submissives who start out in the life style look for a little danger. The first place for some to look for that danger is the tough guy who looks like he's going to slap on the cuffs and be rough.

Facial hair is also known to make people look older and others more distinguished. This type of appeal / presence can help Daddy Doms get younger women who want a Daddy.

Status: offline 		I don't know about any other Doms.. personally, I've just always liked beards, and when I became an adult I grew one.  The fact that I'm a Dom has nothing to do with the beard, it's just a personal preference. :)

Status: offline 		I have had my goatee since I demobbed after 'Nam and kept it ever since.. It just has become part of me long before I even heard of Gor let alone becomming involved with BDSM....

I spy a cultural diffrence (Well OK not so much these days, the younger generation over here doesn't seem to know the old names for styles of beard either)....

The goatee traditionaly refers to just the beard on the chin (clean shaven on the sides of the face) with NO mustache.

Add a mustache to that and you have what was (And still is in older circles over here) an 'Imperial'.

I go through a year or two at a time where I go from the Imperial to full beard and back. Nothing to do with BDSM just simply a look that suits me and I'm comfortable with.

There's a TOUCH of cultural values in that bdsm and Ds tends to emphasize the masculine traits of a person.

It's also just what's in style right now, I haven't noticed a serious deviation from men NOT in bdsm in terms of facial hair.

Spot on me ole mate.. That brought back many memories.. Mostly here the hairy chin and moustache is refered to as a Goatee but here and I guess still in the UK terms and meanigs can vari from state to state or county to county.. I have a strange notion that here the term "Imperial" was dropped due to the anti Imperialism in many Colonial areas about 40 or 50 years ago.... That said I'm glad you picked up on that and me being me shall get back to correct terminology.....

There is another reason why facial hair may be in vogue right now in parts of Australia. A couple of years back a survey apparently showed that many women believed that men with facial hair were more sexually attractive in part due to their apparently appearing more mature and looking less like boys......

Status: offline 		Master is clean shaven or keeps a little stubble for me to run my fingers over, I looooove how it makes the pads of my fingers tingle, and mmm that scritch scratching sound it makes. He shaves when it suits him, I adore his face either clean shaven or stubbly!

Status: offline 		I shave, sometimes I feel like a goatee for like a week or two once or twice a year, but other than that I'm usually clean shaven. Its really a matter of personal prefrence, vanillas have the mysterious ability to grow facial hair too you know ;)

I have gotten a silly email a couple of times that reads simply "Are U bearded"?  It must be someone's criteria.

Several women have offered to shave my pubes even with the additional offer of free use oftheir bodies sexually after as a reward/bribe.... Na I'll maintain light hair thanks other wise there would be no point of my zipping up my strides if there wasnt the russian roulette game of the hairs might get caught this time........
