On a daily basis I look for my videos on various tube sites so I can submit DMCA notices. Recently, I see a lot of recorded webcam shows being posted. These women are under the assumption that they are doing a private webcam show. WRONG! Man... They don't even realize that the person they are doing a webcam show for / with is recording it. Yet, alone posting them all over the net. Damn! For all of that you might as well do videos, post them up and make some real money. End of rant. Lol

It happens all the time. Why anyone believes a cam show they do on line will remain private is beyond me. Im sure many couples keep their private... but many more will record.

I'm of the opinion that if you're going to do webcams and give it away for free, why not get paid for it on a webcam model site? I mean, really....it's gonna be out there anyway. You may as well get paid for it.

I just don't get it. Have these people been living under a rock? It makes me wonder if half of them know and don't care, or the thought adds to the excitement.

I think most have been living under a rock. I have mentioned this a few times to people who have done it and then they get this shocked look on their face and say something like "I didn't know they could record it!". The responses are usually from people in their 40's or older who barely know how to use a computer and really know nothing at all about technology. They know how to turn the computer and cam on and that's about it lol. The youngsters who I have said this to, think they are immune to everything. Think about when you were a teenager. We all thought nothing could harm us. uh huh..look at us now lol.

Very true! I did do some stupid stunts when I was a teenager. I was invincible then. Ah, fun times. Thankfully nothing was caught on camera.

My amazement isn't that they don't realize that they are being recorded but that they don't seem to realize that they can be recorded. To search for content I simply go to various tubes and web sites. I simply look for my videos. It can be hard at times because there are so many tube sites and places to post / share videos and photos. Sometimes they change my name and the description of myself, the other model, or the content totally. I also have had fans and customers tell me, "hey did you post one of your videos on xhamster?" and they link me. Hell, I had a customer come to me and ask if I had opened another SITE on another server. I came to find out someone stole tons of my content and created a site with MY content. It was ugly. There are DMCA companies out there that you can / do searches for you but no one knows my content as well as I do nor is anyone as invested as me in protecting my models or myself. I sell that I am a small site..I can't do that and not keep my models, my content off these hosting sites.

Fair enough. I know it's possible to record shows, I just wondered if there was some sort of software that would notify you if the other person is recording.

No there isn't. Although some web cam girls do choose to use a program called multicams because it allows you put a scrolling header of your choosing on your video. You can choose to put it at the top of the screen, bottom of the screen or on the side. You can put text of your choice. It does NOT stop you from recording them or re-posting it though. Nor does it tell you they are recording. And the scroll can be edited out. It would be nice to have such a program though.

Seems like it could be a big money maker in this day and age. People edit videos that they buy from sites and re-upload them. It happens. Sadly. There are dishonest people and thieves in the world. The net gave them a place to hide. I wish tube sites where held accountable for what THEIR members hosted. I think that would stop a lot of it. After all you have serial DMCA violaters, these tube sites rarely do anything other than remove the content.
