MistressSara7 -> Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 5:43:39 AM)

So I've gotten a few messages accusing me of being fake, even stating that my profile is fake or my pictures are fake and even had one really rude guy who accused me of being a man. Has this ever happened to anyone else and what is your response, if you even chose to respond to such ridiculousness?

SinFix -> RE: Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 5:47:23 AM)

It is a common scam men pull to try and get the person on cam to "prove" that they are real and get a free peep show as they will try to convince someone to get naked to show them their "girly" parts...    Sad thing is, that shit has got to work on some young dumb chicks cause guys keep trying to pull that crap...

LittleMsMary -> RE: Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 6:04:32 AM)

It's a message you often get right after telling someone that you're not interested in them or won't just send them random naked pictures. After that, suddenly you are a "fake" or a guy in disguise, or fat, or stupid, or a bitch etc etc etc....

TheLilSquaw -> RE: Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 6:14:54 AM)

OP,
It happens all the time.
Especially if / when someone is rejected.

I typically respond back with something like ,"Nope I am only a figment or your imagination so run to your shrink and tell them you are having visual hallucinations. "

SeekingTrinity -> RE: Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 8:33:53 AM)

~FRing it~

Just elect not to respond to the foolishness. Its not uncommon to have happen what you had happen. Im pretty sure that your profile picture here is going to attract all sorts of attention...and yes, that does include the wank fodder bullshit artists. The block button is your friend [:)]

OsideGirl -> RE: Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 8:43:40 AM)

Yup, at least once a week.

I can see how that would happen. I'm not accusing you of being fake, but there are a few things that do set off alarms for me when I look at your profile:

1) Your profile says that you live in Iceland, but then the text says that you live in the Southern U.S. Why Put something that contradictory in your profile? It can only cause confusion. Moreover, many people (like me) filter out profiles from other countries. So I would never see your profile even if I was searching for financial Dommes.

2) You list yourself as being a "financial Domme". That group, more than any other here on CM, is likely to be accused of being "fakes" (partially because so many of them ARE fake).

3) Your profile is relatively new (about 1 month old). I think people trust profiles that have been around for a while. New profiles are more likely to be scammers.

4) Your pics are very attractive. I hate to say it, but the prettier you are, the more likely people are to assume that you are using stolen model pictures. You're a victim of your own beauty.

5) Your stated height and weight don't match the pictures that you've shown. So something is amiss. Most people have enough experience to create a mental picture of what a person of a specific height and weight would look like. Your pics don't match my mental image. Of course, I could be wrong. I'm not accusing you of anything. But I don't quite trust your profile.

I hope that helps.

Roch,
There was a point where on fet my location stated I was in Antartica
But the 1st line in my profile stated I was located in Baltimore.
I changed my location simply because I didn't want to found in the search feature by location.

On my CM profile.
My weight doesn't match my pictures either.
Truth is I don't change it often,
Even though my weight is changing.

I find it ironic that NOW people who are to attractive are fake.

But you specifically WANTED to not be found. She's a financial Domme. Most financial Dommes probably want to be found by interested subs, so I just wanted to make her aware that she might be making a bigger mistake than she realized.

But her profile is only 1 month old. How much can a person's weight change in 1 month? IMO, The pics are either old, not of her, or she listed her height/weight inaccurately.

Nothing ironic about that at all. Most guys know that many scammers use stolen model pics. If the picture looks too pretty, it raises red flags for us. I might be wrong, but I don't think that male profiles are as likely to use stolen model pics. You women aren't as shallow as us men, so you're not so easily swayed by a pretty picture. So the behavior is probably less prevalent among the profiles that you would look at.

AllisonWilder -> RE: Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 9:38:31 AM)

I get at least one message a day from someone saying that I'm a fake. Since I don't get on cam for everyone that asks, I must be a guy. Since I don't show as much skin as others do, I'm clearly a man. All my pictures are head shots so I'm obviously hiding the fact that I'm a man. And so on.

MistressSara7 -> RE: Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 9:42:26 AM)

^^^ interesting insight rochsub, however everything on my profile is fact, expect Iceland, which I put to filter out some locations.
I think the other ladies are more accurate in stating that the accusations of being fake, is typical of time wasters who have been rejected.

MadameM4U -> RE: Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 9:54:24 AM)

I was accused of being a "fake" the other day at lunch. My accuser was a Dom I met through this site. I agreed to have lunch with him on the premise of establishing a platonic friendship from one dominant to another.

During the course of the lunch he asked me if I would come back to his house and spank him. I told him I wasn't interested in that type of relationship with him but he didn't take "no" for an answer and tried to push me to do his bidding.

After I told him "no" again he told me I was a "fake". I told him that he was the "fake" and reiterated that my original agreement to meet him for lunch was founded on the premise of a purely platonic relationship and that I would not be his fetish delivery system. I haven't heard from him since then.

AthenaSurrenders -> RE: Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 9:55:09 AM)

Yep even I get that once in a while. You're going to get a pretty big share of those sorts of emails because a) some people have issues with findommes and will enjoy winding you up or trying to get something for free b)you have a lot of flesh on show, so people think you'll be easy to get on cam c) you're relatively new, so people will be trying their luck hoping you haven't wised up yet and d) they know you at least have big boobs, so you've already scored a point on the attractiveness scale.

Replacing the boob shot as your primary with a vanilla clothed shot will probably cut it down a bit by eliminating reason b, but might also cut into your business.

rochsub, at one point everyone's profile was one month old. Also just because I do not stack up to your mental image of what my stats should be, does not mean that my stats are not correct. You do not hold the benchmark and your theories are not absolute.

Though I do agree with the rest of your points, I don't think her stats and her photos seem at odds. Unless she's recently changed one or the other it looks about right to me, certainly within the range of what I would expect.

Your target audience just told you what pops into mind when they view your profile and why you're getting the response you're getting.

Yeah well I appreciate his opinions but his opinions are not fact. My stats and length of time here is what it is and I cannot change those things.

crazyml -> RE: Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 10:25:53 AM)

Hey,

So I'm not your target audience by any means, and I really want to emphasise how utterly non-fake I think you are.

I think you're totally genuine. Not an ounce of snark intended.

But if I didn't know that you were for real, I'd assume on reading your profile that you're fake.

It screams fake to me.

Fake-fake-fakety-fake.

Just sayin.

LadyPact -> RE: Have you too ever been accused of being fake? (1/15/2013 10:31:02 AM)

It's been so long since somebody called Me a fake that I honestly can't remember when the last time was. Somebody did tell Me that My avatar looked masculine about a month ago, which made Me laugh to no end. Before that, I'm drawing a blank.

At this point, I just think too many people know Me in the lifestyle community.
