I'm sitting here trying to think of some kind of class Master would like me to take...I dunno.

Orthopedic or orthoscopic surgery?

Master has expressed an urge to eat more natural foods.

We're putting in a vegetable garden and he has asked me to learn to can those vegetables.

Also, he has asked me to put together an emergency stash in case of earthquake or wild fire.

There are many vegetables that you can blanch and freeze, and then steam and that makes them 'fresher' than some canned.

Oside there is a ton of info out there on preserving fresh foods.  We used to have a good sized farm and the ex did a big garden.  Most of what we grew went into the freezer as it's super simple to do and the results are excellent.  I did try canning my own jelly.... lots of work but the jelly was great!  Strawberries are in now in FLorida and toying with the idea of trying to make jelly again.

Yeah, I've bought a couple of books. It's been interesting reading. I'm looking forward to doing the canning. We don't want to freeze since it's reliant on electricity and freezer space.

Master lived in LA during the Northridge earthquake and remembers how ugly it got.

I wonder what classes a Dom/me might suggest that their sub could take that they would appreciate?
Cooking of course comes to mind, as well as any type of exercise/fitness class to especially improve flexibility for bondage.  I know a few who really got into learning massage techniques.

Home Economics (mending, ironing, budgeting, creating well balanced meals)
Massage
Exercize/Fitness
Flogger Making (I just had to slip that one in)
Carpentry
Auto Repair
Landscaping
Home Maintenance
Dog Grooming
Computer stuff
Manicure and Pedicures
Hair Styling (not cutting, but putting hair up in some fancy Hollywood type hairdo)

This year my slave and I will be reading up on and then making an indoor green house, with automated timers for the lights so that I can have all kinds of lettuces and several herbs available at all times, as well as turning my outdoor veggie garden into a Square Foot Garden so I can get more out of it. He sucks at pedicures and hairdos and cooking and budgeting, but is great with building things and doing minor car repairs.

A friend of mine was our guest at his house several times in the past few weeks...she does exercise from some program online that counts the work in miles walked...bo has taken up this exercise program too, as he tends to put on winter weight and wants to keep his metabolism up and his weight down.

If only teaching him to cook/bake were as easily learned, lol. I made a huge batch of cookie dough (nice to freeze some for later) and had him check when I thought they were done. He said they were fine. I leaped up from the couch a minute later to run to the oven and sure enough, several were charred, lol. I left the rest of the dough with him, telling him to freeze some for later and reminding him of the baking instructions...and he told me that rather than risk burning them, he planned on eating the dough raw... *blanches* I had to explain that it was made with raw eggs and that I didn't want him to leave it in the refrigerator for two weeks while nibbling small dough balls or he'd get food poisoning. (The cookie dough recipe is gluten free...one cup of peanut butter, one cup of sugar, and one medium egg...that's all.)

This is why I added Home Ec. on the list. Yep, I'm the one who had to go through his cupboard and toss out a lot of his stuff several months back, pointing out all of the things that should have been refrigerated after opening but weren't, and blatantly had mold growing in it or were a hospital visit waiting to happen. Hershey's syrup, jams and jellies, catsup, salsas, mustard, etc., all had to be tossed out. Some cans of food were all swollen (botulism). I guess it's my fault that he had placed the jar of peanut butter in the refrigerator, lol. He's almost sixty years old and was living off of tv dinners and deer meat because he didn't even know how to...bake a potato. Now that he knows how to bake white potatoes and sweet potatoes I've been trying to get him to put them in the refrigerator afterward (he bakes 6-8 at a time, but eats only one or two per day) instead of leaving them out on the stove top, still wrapped up, for days, eating them as he needs them. (They are NOT potato chips, lol.)

I want him to eat more veggies, and so far he can only tolerate the occasional salad. Eventually we might have him build or buy a small indoor greenhouse (Walmart sells them for something like $50 or $60, but they are not cat proof) so that he can have a variety of salad leaves available. I'm thinking buttercrunch, romaine, black seeded simpson, red sails, etc. I used to grow these outside and picked an outer leaf or two every other day from each plant...so that we had a nice bowl of lettuce for the family every day. (The light stench from semi-rotted lettuce, the stuff sold in bags at grocery stores, makes me ill. I don't even wanna talk about the bright orange "rust".)

Btw, it was cute to see him exercising with penny. [;)]

If one of our BDSM groups had us pay money to sign him up for classes...to put up my hair the way I want or to do a better job at pedicures, etc., we would do it as we could afford it.

As far as massage goes... My slave has a head injury from a mining cave in that makes him get sleepy (yeah, he actually nods off) whenever he is doing something repetitive and not mentally stimulating. Unfortunately, my preferred type of massage falls into this category. Good thing he finds shaving my legs and other parts stimulating enough to stay awake for it, lol. Maybe if the massage was specific, goal oriented, and went from like an A, B, C that he had to keep track of. Sensual massage would be out, but possibly massage techniques for tight or spasming muscles would do us both some good. I have a book on it...but reading makes my slave nod off too, lol. I haven't chosen any specific ones, talked him through it (nobody to demonstrate on while he watches) yet, so I cannot shake my finger at him for not having learned how to use massage to make me more comfortable.

I was telling Master that when I go for my bachelor's degree in the Fall, I think I'm going to go for my business administration but in the global business speciality. He said I would have to learn a foreign language. I told him that's built into the degree and the classes I would need to take. So learning a foreign language will be a requirement for me anyway. It won't be one of those "romantic" languages though lol. Probably going to be taking some kind of Arabic like maybe Pashto.

Just out of curiosty, I was wondering how many subs/slaves have taken classes, taken up a new hobby, etc specifically to please a Dom/me? of future Dom/me?

Years back I took bellydancing classes and my dom really enjoyed watching me practice.  ( not sure if he was enjoying the sensuality of the dance or the comic relief I had to be providing  ;)

Yes sort of along those lines I took up belly dancing too about five years ago, but that interest has gone now, but I am still belly dancing twice a week.
