That's a rose flogger, and it is a heavy spread out thud with a soft skin feel.

The roses come off really quickly and the bloody thing was impossible to clean. I was given one as a present and I was highly disappointed with it after only a few uses.

I did a double session with a pro domme several years ago, and she had just been given one of these by her client to use. Within SECONDS little rosebuds were popping off all over the room. Her cat somehow made it into her "dungeon" and proceeded to attack one, and jumped onto the bondage bench in front of the guy. The cat proceeds to drop the flower onto the bench and start licking his butt. Ambience ruined, everyone was cracking up, and we switched to a different flogger. TLDR: only good for cat toys.

I don't have that exact model. The ones that I have that are closest to it do not have the roses. Instead, at the end of the tails is more like a material flair. Probably why Mine are still in shape and the roses fall off. If you are looking for something with roses because Valentine's Day is coming up, I'd be more likely to go with the canes that have the rose on the end. They will last longer.

Mine is all leather not leather/suede, and has lasted 4 yrs with use about once a month. I may only use a given flogger for 5 mins/scene tho..

I got my ex one of those for valentines day one year. We both really liked it. Very thuddy and lots of fun. eta...She used ours and never had any problems with it falling apart. Maybe it depends on who makes it.

LOL you know you can always try out half decent 'quirts'. Can be 'nasty' however can be quite intriguing. Personally I like things that 'sting' and my god there are some whips that do I can assure you! M

i dont have one, but have seen them on sites that sell them, and always thought they look nice, but i doubt to be honest they will last long in a sessions if you like to give or recieve a fair amount of pain. Think they are more for decoration.

Yes, I would like to know if the ones that fell apart came from DetailsToys or another maker. I've seen similar at the Hustler Store, for example.

It's really thuddy which is what I like. I don't like stingy. Thuddy feels like a real heavy massage to me. NOW, they do sell those with little metal "thorns" on them as well. That one will give you a feeling as if your skin is being splayed! [:o]

FR, I wrote to the manufacturer listed in the OP, who doubts the ones that fell apart were made by them: "I guarantee it’s not our flogger Our floggers are extremely robust and thick Not to mention, if anything ever went wrong with one of our floggers like that, we’d fix it! We are not members of collarme.com but we’d certainly appreciate it if you could mention on that post the picture of the flogger is not the company they are talking about. Thanks Bo"
