Again, I don't wear my shoes to get a reaction from others. I wear my shoes because I like them.

I didnt say you were, I was referring to the op's question.

Sorry if I caused some confusion.

One of the funniest things that ever happened on this Message board was when LadyAngelika complained about men objectifying woman while posting with a femdom avatar that objectified femdoms.

A sub-question I read in the OP's query is, why do women objectify themselves in the workplace?

------

Somewhat OT:

I prefer women who are more masculine, and sometimes when I see women trying to be extra feminine in high heels -- it strikes me as a caricature.

They're Alexander McQueen Heart Peep Toes. Original retail was around $800, but now no longer first season so they can be found for about $400.

Personally, I like Louboutins better.

When I read this thread all I can think of is how many countries and cultures that blame women for the failings of men who are unable to control their desires.

That's YOUR problem, not mine. I wear heels to work because I like the way they look on me and the way I feel in them, not to draw attention to me from men, not to cause you to get hard-ons, or naughty thoughts to your head.

I wear them for ME. I would say that if it frustrates you that much then maybe it's time to lock yourself away in your home.

I like men in suits. At most jobs I've ever worked at, men were in suits ALL the time. Yup, some were hot. I'd smile, and then get back to the work I'm supposed to be doing.

Maybe try concentrating on your work instead of the women in your office.

I can see paying those prices for one off custom cowboy boots hand made to fit just your feet, but mass produced shoes?

Alexander McQueen wouldn't be mass produced. They're a couture company, so they would be handmade "pret a porter" shoes. So, while they're not custom, there's only a small amount made.

And trust me, well made shoes make a huge difference when you're talking about shoes that have really high heels. They're much less painful.

"If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail"

OP, have you stopped to think that your raging foot and shoe fetish might be influencing your perception? Perhaps the women at work really are not wearing such inappropriate, over the top sexy footwear (if there even is such a thing).

Maybe it's all in your mind.

Edited to add:

And really high heels are in. Deal.

I have two pair of Louboutins, those are pretty though.

Oh and I have a great pair of cowboy boots. And O is right, they are not mass produced. But they are gorgeous!!!

I no longer have cowboy boots, since I stopped showing horses. I do have jodhpur and motorcycle boots.

I just bought some Louboutin Trash and I can't wait for them to arrive.

I think you should file a complaint with your office manager or HR department. Specify that the women of the office are distracting you by wearing fuck me shoes. Make sure to name names and describe the shoes in exhaustive detail.

If your employer fails to remedy the situation, I suggest a lawsuit and possibly a Congressional inquiry.

Go get help dealing with your paraphilia. If you can't keep your mind on the job instead of making excuses to bend over and stare at coworkers feet behind their desks, it's your problem - not theirs.

I forgot to mention that if you can't take your eyes off of women's shoes, you might have a disability protected under state and/or federal law. Talk to your employer about an accommodation. Maybe they can move your desk to the basement, or you can wear one of those animal cone things so that you can't see the floor.

Perhaps you need a career change in order to cope. Perhaps a cook at a monastery?
By the way, what are your thoughts of women in McDonald's uniforms?

Okay... I'm going to stray from the usual response here. Please understand that I'm voicing my own opinion based on my own reasoning. It may or may not jibe with others perceptions and I'm open to ideas that I've not considered, but essentially I think I've got a valid picture.

I think women wear "fuck me" shoes, high heels, designer clothing, jewelry, and any other fashion item specifically because of the sexual response they generate.

Now they may not be consciously doing so; they may not be wanting to specifically elicit reactions; they may, in fact, loathe the idea of being perceived in a sexual manner... however, I do believe that their perception of what is attractive is formed around what will attract a sexual partner. I mean, seriously... that is what "attractive" means, does it not? What else are you trying to attract? Flys?

Think about it... what makes something attractive? Why do we feel that a woman's foot is more attractive in an inclined position? If it was because the human foot was simply more attractive that way, then why are men not shod in high heels for fashion's sake?

Look up "lordosis behavior"... you might find some interesting information on why.

Don't get me wrong... I love how I look and feel in a nice pair of heels. But in considering why I think I look attractive in heels, I have to accept the fact that I've been conditioned to accept them as attractive and as uncomfortable as they can be, I want to be attractive.

Ever had one of those days when it all just goes wrong? You woke up to a big ol' zit on your nose that your makeup won't cover... you get caught in a downpour between the parking lot and your office so your hair is a damp and stringy mess... that outfit that you thought would look great in your dark closet at 6am turns out to not even match once you get under florescent lighting at work... and you forgot your heels on the way out the door and are stuck with the flats you normally only wear for the four blocks you have to walk between your parking lot and the office.

Been there, done that. It makes you feel like crap. Totally unattractive. You lose confidence. You lose your "edge". You're just not the best you that day.

So yes, I wear them for me (and Firm ). They make me feel attractive. They make me feel confident and powerful.

But I think they make me feel attractive because they are sexy... and I'm confident and powerful because they are attractive.

every woman wears shoes. some happen to wear heels. they are fashionable. in the office no-one gives a crap that you have a fetish. the wedge and heel is top fashion in the uk right now, so all the shopd are full of them. again nothing to do with your fetish.

any woman wearing them to work with that as the foremost thought in her mind needs a kick in the cunt anyway.

I understand that they have no interest in me or my fetish. But do they not have a clue that what they are wearing is sexy and a distraction?

This is the mentality that puts personal self control onto other people - and justifies rape "because he/she was dressed too *something* and was asking for it". This is the mentality that insists that women cover their hair and bodies because men find it too distracting - instead of addressing the root of the issue- which is personal control.

You control your own actions and reactions. Do it!

Ok ladies, got a question:
Why do you feel that it's necessary to wear your fuck-me heels to work?

I work in an office with alot of women and about 2/3 of them all wear fetish-ish high heel boots or shoes. I have a raging heel and boot fetish, so you can imagine how distracting this can be for me. Don't get me wrong, I love to see the ladies in all that sexy fetish foot wear, but at work? I thought those were for after work. I have to be very subtle in my gawking, I have no doubt that any of them wouldn't hesitate to blow me into HR for being a perv.

So what is it? Is it an empowerment thing? Do you like the reaction you get when a male co-worker can't take his eyes off your feet?

Please discuss.

It never occurs to me that someone will gawk at my feet, it's not my thing so it doesn't come up on my radar. The world is full of sexual triggers, it's like the discussion on phobias- someone somewhere will be sexually attracted to just about anything that exists. Should we all live our lives under a microscope so as to avoid doing anything at all that will attract another's sexual attention? Is that even possible? If I go to a restaurant and eat, there will be someone somewhere that will be interested in seeing me do that. I can't possibly know that inviting Uncle Charley to a children's birthday party where there are lots of balloons is a constant sexual barrage to him. Someone out there is attracted to overalls and stringy hair. Mullets? I'm sure someone gets juicy over those...as inconceivable as it seems.

Therefore people are responsible for themselves and their reactions. Uncle Charley should perhaps decline attending the party or at least make sure he's able to go around without a boner. I find myself attracted to the biker type amongst other things, I should probably not go to events where I'll run into bikers unless I'm sure I can keep myself from ogling them in an uncomfortable manner, or grabbing their asses.

If you are having so much trouble at your present job, I'd suggest making a change to something where workers wear a uniform that precludes sexy shoes, OR, find a way to act like a grownup. If I see a gentleman somewhere that gets my attention, yes, I look at him and maybe daydream a bit. I'm guessing he never knows about, and I certainly don't hold him responsible for the fact that something about him made me feel a bit woozy. Does that happen at inappropriate times that I have sexual thoughts? Well...yes. It's part of being an adult. Another part is making sure my objet de lust never knows.
