I believe it's due to their grumpiness, lack of enthusiasm and spontaneity, and the invention of
the remote control! HA!

I understand what you mean about pricing, I normally do 2 or 3 festivals a year, some for the whole weekend some for one day, you can buy single day tickets for download but they don't go on sale until all the weekend passes are sold so there only a limited number.

I was at the MK bowl a while back for the Foo Fighters gig....awesome venue btw

And thank you, I will have a mosh for all that can't make it lol

I'd been pretty disappointed with how they changed Donington when I was at the last Monsters of Rock festival there, and couldn't understand the change as the new layout made it much harder to hear the bands properly. Awful change, really.
So, when I'd gone to Milton Keynes, I was overjoyed at the layout there. Just fantastic, really. It'd be great if they did more one day festivals there.

Actually, in my case it is from a number of injuries that until the advent of the cdrom and dvd weighed in at 17pounds, granted there mulitple shots of the injury site from various angles.

Oh god, rammstein, slipknot, korn and iron maiden..... WHY IS THIS ONLY A UK THING???

Because the US has something better.....Summerfest .......granted you will have to wait until June to attend and enjoy, but who fuck wants to attend an outdoor festival in winter?!!

btw.....keep checking the link to see the lineup as new bookings are made. It's a 10 day event with all genres of music provided, from the biggest names down to emerging talent.

Many good memories of the monsters of rock days, I think they had to change it after the sad events of 88 (I think) when people died in a crowd crush. I was at the Leeds fest to see Muse a few year ago and the main stage layout there was impressive, Kinda a downhill slope to the stage front which gave it a bowl feeling that just seemed to catch the sound perfect.

Slightly off topic and an after thought but anyone reading this looking for a more family friendly, less rocky festival should try the Isle of Wight festival. Took my kids there a few year ago for their first festival experience and I was quite impressed.....well apart from the 25 hour coach trip home and having to endure Jay-z that is.

I'm jealous you got to see Muse. I'd love to see them, but I have to say I much prefer indoor concerts to outdoor ones now. Especially if it's a nice small venue. And I have noticed that Muse only seem to do the big venues, indoor and out, which is a shame. I know it can cost more for a band to do a couple of nights at a smaller venue, but I do have a lot of respect for bands that prefer the more personal feel that gives.

Muse were phenomenal, I'd definitely go see them again.
I know what you mean about small indoor venues, A good few years ago my partner of the time won some tickets to go see Travis at a small venue in Edinburgh, now I'm not a Travis fan in any way but being in an audience of about 50 and being only 5 or so feet away from them as they performed was special, totally different vibe from big concerts and equally enjoyable.
