Let me say first that I've been a member here for many years. About 10 years I think. But have never actually posted a message on these boards before! This is my very first one. So bear that in mind: if I have broken any conventions or anything, its not deliberate!! :)
I put this idea on my journal earlier, and I thought I would put it here too.

Just so you know, I'm a dominant gay Master. based in Edinburgh but currently in London.
I have over a decade's experience in dominating guys. I specialise in footworship and body worship, but I also like other stuff (see my profile). I've had an idea that I think many Masters and Mistresses would support.

ALL SLAVES SHOULD HAVE 3 STANDARD PICS :)
Yes. I think All slaves should have a standard set of pics of him/herself in the 3 most basic slave poses. which he/she can send to any Master. Having these pics could even be a condition of membership of sites like these, for any slave!

Before anyone starts about discretion and privacy, I do think the slaves should be allowed to cover their faces in these pics, or perhaps wear some kind of mask. And the pics don't necessarily need to be put on their profile page. But they should have them available.

Of course all dominants use their slaves differently. But there are some very basic poses which we would all recognise, and which all slaves should be able to adopt.

These are the 3 standard pics I suggest.
In all of these the slave should be stripped naked or in tight shorts/thong.
The pics should be taken from the front and/or above. (so, from the dom's p.o.v.)
1. STANDING: Simply standing to attention with your hands behind your back, head bowed
2. KNEELING: Down on your knees, but with your body upright, hands clasped in front of you, head bowed.
3. GROVELLING: down on your hands and knees, with your back flat (in the footstool position). head bowed

NB Obviously a slave can choose to have additional pics, showing all sorts of poses and specialities, toys etc. But these 3 should be the 'standard set'.

I'd really love to see this become official policy at collarme. But thats probably expecting too much. However, I would say to all slaves reading this: even if it doesnt become official policy, you could do it anyway. This is what we (doms) want to see. We want to see you as we would when you first come to us, and strip in front of us for the first time.

Status: offline 		My guess is that you won't find much support among the dominant types on these discussion boards. Most of us tend to be real-world oriented and relationship oriented. Most of the doms here, of course, appreciate a good bit of "scene" but that's all this amounts to. I myself would probably use your three photo set in a reverse application. Anyone who actually did it would be an obvious poor fit for me.

2. Stroking chin in Masterly fashion.
3. Spanking.

Seriously, every single person who has a profile here, determines what kinds of pics they post.

If it's a bunch of stolen pics off the Internet, that says something about them.
If it's nekkid pics, ditto.
If it's a pic of a hand with a ring on it, ditto.
If it's a bunch of highly politically charged pics, ditto.

One male sub had a pic of himself playing a piano. MistressDarkArt has a pic that shows her playing a violin, outdoors.

I favor the individual expression made possible by the freedom here.

Status: offline 		First of all, I am NOT into slavery. Second of all, please do not place me in the category of either "many" or "all" Dominants.

As to 3 obligatory poses?

**STANDING AT ATTENTION... well, I'm not running a bootcamp so that wouldn't work for me I'm afraid. (lol)

**KNEELING... I actually prefer my submissives to SIT at my feet. It's more comfortable for them, and I find it
just as respectful as kneeling. :)
(By the way, doesn't the kneeling thing include something like hands on the thighs, palms up or something?)

**GROVELING...ohhhh. this one doesn't work for me at all. I am attracted to submissives who have self-respect.

As for being striped naked in the photos?
I've seen enough penis photos, enough butt-plugged arses in the air, enough chastity devices, and enough OBESITY to last me beyond the grave, thank you!

However there IS one thing I agree with that the OP suggested. And that was

"We want to see you as we would when you first come to us."

And in my case, that would be WITH clothes on, preferably a cleaned and pressed shirt, and nothing less than a very dark pair of blue jeans without holes. Slacks would be even more respectful. A clean body, shampooed hair, clean fingernails, teeth brushed, etc.etc.
And if and when there is any stripping to be done, it will be done behind closed doors... and for no one else's eyes but my own.

No, I am not one of "many" or "all"... nor do I wish to be.

Why??

Some slaves come here just to socialize. Some slaves are already owned. Some slaves don't feel the need or desire to expose themselves to any ol' dude or chick who calls themselves Master or Mistress. Some slaves don't feel the need or desire to advertise themselves. Some slaves find the best way to meet someone is through conversation and getting to know someone, and only THEN if there is chemistry & compatibility, take things to a sexual level. Some slaves....well I could go on...

These sites aren't a "slave pool" for any dominant dude or chick to pick and choose from. Selection goes both ways.

Picture of bank statement
Picture of most recent W2's and tax return
Picture of the inside of their home and all its luxuries

Kaliko, while I would never criticize you under any circumstances whatsoever, I cannot fail to note that any submissive that would be allowed to wear a corset would not be aware that true subs are naked 24/7. Although it would be nice to see you cooking while in the required kneeling position.

I think that most of the guys that call themselves Dominants need to pull their heads out of their asses, but we can't all get what we think should happen.
