And, how many times do posters use the term "Fox News Channel" compared to just "Fox News" (or a derivative like "Faux News")?

Precisely.

Thanks for playing.

edited to add:

How can that be anything more than a simple slip? Attracting attention to it either says you think it wasn't a slip, or know it was, but want to use it politically anyway.

Which was it? And, stating that it was a "Fox News" lady without the "affiliate" term in there will pretty much guarantee that anyone reading the title/description will assume it's from the Fox News Channel.

And, really? You aren't going to tell me this isn't something you'd "never do," are you?

Lucylastic -> RE: The entertainment continues (1/21/2013 7:13:48 AM)

But that was YOUR point..., she DIDNT lump anyone together, the fox news lady, is hardly lumping anyone together, , no matter how hard you try and fail to parse it.
possession not plural. but nice try at backpedalling.

Backpedaling?!? How am I backpedaling? Leaving it as "Fox News" and not specifying it's an affiliate, when everyone else refers to the Fox News Channel as "Fox News" or "Faux News," lumps them all together.

Lucylastic -> RE: The entertainment continues (1/21/2013 9:16:59 AM)

simply, Tazzy in no way lumped them together, to state otherwise is pathetic. If you dont get plural vs possession, as singular person, then I cannot play anymore, Im getting a headache in my ass, from the dumbassery around here today.

Go ahead and quit. I do understand.

Did she not work for Fox News?

Did I not give a link?

Was she not a news lady?

Is it MY fault if people dont look at the link?

When YOU looked at the link, did you NOT notice the broadcast?

There was nothing misleading about my post. To gain the context, one HAD to view the video... which had all the information YOU are insisting wasnt given. Yet, it was all there.

So, you got called out on bullshit because it didnt fit YOUR requirements of what should have been in my post. Yet, my post DID contain all YOUR requirements.

Thank you for playing.

Bahahahahahaha!!

Did I notice? How did I call you on your lack of context in your reference?

Did you hear what Obama said?!?!?

Neat how that works, innit? There is an implication of something he said as being anti-Conservative (based upon my being Conservative). Yet, if you follow the link, you'll find what?

Yeah, I know. No one here would have jumped to any conclusions based on your political ideology or posting history.

The lefies would find Faux a lot more offensive if they weren't sticking to the news reporting and pseudo factual talking heads: this is the channel that cancelled Firefly and Futurama, after all...

Forcing me to actually go look at what you provide.. and.. gasp... making your OWN opinion.

I could care less about your political affiliation.

I never once said the woman did anything but make a faux pas .. simply a blunder in speaking. I never stated what that blunder was, never accused any other Conservative of making it, nor did I denigrate anyone else because she made it.

Yep.. included in that one post was the link, the station, the woman, the actual clip.

Did she not work for Fox News?

Yachtie -> RE: The entertainment continues (1/21/2013 2:13:15 PM)

Can we break for commercials or at least get an intermission?

Yeah, you weren't sarcastic at all. If you truly considered it a faux pas, you'd not have mentioned it.

She worked for a Fox affiliate's news team.

Playing innocent doesn't work on many people here.

I think that's a splendid idea. Afterwards please return to the topic.

Nope, I wasnt. Glad you recognized that. [:D] But, you had to go make me look. You had to push this issue.

since you insisted....

The reporters name is Holly Morris.

Holly Morris works for WTTG

http://www.myfoxdc.com/story/17047683/holly-morris#axzz2IfWKzxrR

Guess who owns WTTG

WTTG, channel 5, is an owned-and-operated television station of the Fox Broadcasting Company, located in the American capital city of Washington, D.C. The station can be seen on Xfinity channel 25 and HD channel 805 in the DC area. The station's studio and office facility, and transmitter are co-located in the Tenleytown neighborhood of Washington.[1]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WTTG

Oh, my, Fox Broadcasting Company

Fox Broadcasting Company, commonly referred to as the Fox Network or simply Fox (and stylized as FOX),[2][3] is an American commercial broadcasting television network owned by Fox Entertainment Group, part of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_Broadcasting_Company

While network-owned stations will normally carry the full broadcast programming schedule of the originating network, an affiliate is independently owned and typically under no obligation to do so.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_affiliate

So, Fox News owns the station and signs her paychecks... no different than all the big name broadcasters.

But thank you for making me look.

Got something else to say?

Joe Biden is a man's man. It would be an honor to have a beer and swap some stories with him. There is not a Republican on the horizon who has the humanity, humour, and experience that Joe has. You must be scared, Yachtie, if you are starting to hammer him four years in advance.

Why does poking a little bit of fun at Biden mean he's scared of him? It's not like Biden hasn't been doing things like this for years, and people have been poking fun at him for it for years. It's not some indictment of him as a person, or some indication that he's stupid. Sometimes his mouth just gets ahead of his brain.

I agree that Biden would be one hell of a lot of fun to hang out with...and I'm more on the conservative side of the spectrum. Do I disagree with his policies? Sure, but that's no reason to ignore the facts. Biden is an incredibly personable and charming man, who excels at legislating. He also sometimes puts his foot in his mouth...but who hasn't?

And when he does, he owns up to it.... I love a man who can make me laugh at his own mistakes.

Bullshit.

And, I'll be watching. I certainly hope you never refer to anything on the Fox News Channel as being on "Fox News." Else, we'll be chatting about this again. [:D]
