Pretty much. Goblin and Tangerine Dream are best known for soundtracks (Goblin did a lot of Argento's best films in the '70s and early '80s, and Dawn of the Dead, which I'm sure you've seen), VDGG are old farts from the '60s as are King Crimson and Soft Machine, and Caravan are a '70s outfit. The only band there who've formed in recorded history are Marillion, who were quite big in the mid '80s.
