I am not going to wade directly into the controversy but, I would like to address your assertion that there's nothing wrong with the moderation:
A thread about convicted murderers being released garners a response that states someone's belief in the death penalty.
That post is pulled for being "Thread Hijacking" (Interestingly juvenile term, to boot).
The moderator that pulled that post/sent that gold e-mail either:
1) has no reading comprehension
2) Doesn't understand what "off topic" is
3) Has a hard on for the person that wrote the post.
Now, that issue was finally addressed and removed but the post was lost forever and the moderator still wears the cloak of the divinely protected.
Knowing the "secret identity" of the mod in question, I can tell you that that particular incident was personal.
You canNOT make a blanket statement about the moderation here not having flaws when things like that happen.
I hope whatever it is that is bothering you that prompted this thread can be quickly resolved.
