Status: offline 		A ridiculously indecisive wanker suddenly announced that he is an edge slave. Is there really such a thing? If so, can someone give me a definition? I'm new to the wonderful world of findom but "edge" slave is something I've never heard of.

Status: offline 		I've also heard "edge" used to refer to a kind of orgasm denial where you almost get somebody to orgasm and then stop and don't let them. Maybe he wants to have that done to him a lot?

Someone that grabs a newspaper at a news stand, thrusts it under his jacket in a howling wind, knowing it costs a buck...trust me, he knows this to his toes, but he throws three quarters at the newsie...just because he knows he can.

He knows who he is. He lives on the edge.

Yeah, that's the guy...someone you may not even notice on the street, but he's got something....something no one else has.

Watch for him....he could be right next to you...and then again....maybe not.

That's right baby....he lives on the edge. And he ain't leaving.

Or he could mean he likes being on the edge of orgasm and not being allowed to orgasm.

Ask him if you don't know. It's the only way you will ever have a correct answer to what HE means it is.

Status: offline 		I've never before heard the term "Edge slave" although it wasn't until coming back to CM a couple of months ago that I'd heard the term "Findomme" (gag me with a sp... err, how about a 9" dildo)

I have, however, been involved in real time BDSM for more than a couple of years. "Edge play" at first referred to playing with knives, scalpels and other things with sharp edges. It came to include needle play, breath play, fire play and other potentially very dangerous forms of play.

And, as has been mentioned above, "Edging" also refers to bringing a submissive to the edge of orgasm, then backing off.
