What do you do when you've pissed off the extremists? Keep up the pressure.

Instead of just fighting to maintain the status-quo, Cuomo is suggesting we EXPAND abortion rights. And I'm all for a NYS Constitutional amendment ensuring a fundamental right to your body, and all that it creates. ( This also has implications in genetics -- Shouldn't EVERYONE control the produce of their own selves, whether it's a child or data? )

This means that a social worker or your CT tech could give you an abortion. Sign up for food stamps, an MRI on your knee and a D&C all in the same day at the same visit. Progress is great!

The Declaration of Independence enshrines three basic rights: the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The right to life is the only fundamental right, from which all other rights are derived. Abortion not only flies in the face of the only fundamental right but currently takes away the only fundamental right from an average of 3,300 each and every day. The extremists are abortion proponents.

Yeah. It's called "Don't open your legs."

MOST abortions in this country are NOT for cases of rape or incest. And if "convenience" is "health," which is clearly the liberal position, well, then.
Funny though, that the abortion clinics are generally in black neighborhoods.

• 15% were located in neighborhoods where no single racial or ethnic group accounted for one-half or more of residents.

These statistics definitively refute the assertion that most abortion clinics are located in predominantly African-American neighborhoods.

Mississippi is well on its way to closing its only abortion clinic.

Where did you get the crazy idea anyone was asking YOU to pay for anything as a result of New York State's proposed legislation?

Really. Please list the entire range of providers of abortion services in Mississippi.

As an aside, Tazzy, I've always liked that you always look at both sides of things. Just wanted to say that.

Regarding the paying, we've been subsidizing abortions since Roe v Wade, as that was the intent of that bill to begin. People here who remember it taking effect (which means they're old, like me!) will recall that that was the prime argument at the time--that poor women allegedly couldn't get a clinical abortion and were forced to do the back alley thing.

If you're subsidizing abortions, than everyone is supporting Catholic Child Rape, since they pay no taxes, and that money is used to rape children, right?

And yet, Mississippi still has one. And if Mississippi wants a clinic they can have one, and if they don't, they don't have to. Why are we talking about this like there's no alternative to abortion?

Read Roe v Wade, and take a look at the tax code under ObamaCare.

And regarding Mississippi, why should they have a clinic if the majority of their people don't want one?

And again, why do we assume here that abortion is the only option?
