I have had both used on me. The tens unit for more painful while the wand was strange sensations. Not sure which one I liked more. It's kinda hard because they were so different. Neither one had any sexual component to me.

Darkfeather, it doesn't feel anything like a static shock though because its continuous.
I'm one of these people who seem to be full of static I touch a car door and I'm zapped, I touch a supermarket trolley and I'm zapped. Its a horrible thing and yet I will use the voilet wand on me until my skin is sore because I love the feeling it gives... only on the bulb mind.
We do have estim but I prefer to use it on other people. Like others here, I spent too many years accidentally being zapped by electric fences.

True, a violet wand gives out a continuous static charge, hence the difference. Depending on what tip you use, is how close the charge has to travel to the skin, hence the different sensations. Estim is completely different, because it travels along the nerve pathways. In this aspect, it is why estim can actually hurt more, as it directly stimulates the pain center.

I have an irregular heartbeat. I had to wear a heart monitor for a month and have an echo cardiogram done and it all came back as a harmless arrhythmia but from what I read I can never use any of that due to my out of whack heartbeat. :(

Its not that you cannot use one, its just that you have to be careful. TENS units stimulate in the same way the brain does, and if placed in the wrong spot, at the correct frequency, it could interfere with an irregular heartbeat. Of course, the chances of this happening by accident or safe regular use is quite low

I loved the rake attachment. It was like a nice massage over all my body. I just melted when it was used on me. I hated the metal flogger attachment. That thing just friggin hurt! I'm not talking about the electric paper type one, but the one with the little chain type flogger. Fuck that stings. The tube attachment was touch and go for me. I liked it on low on my clit but hated it on high. Then it just stung. It really comes down to the attachment and the settings.

Aside from getting a healthy blast from the P.A.T tester at work when the need arose and for wiping out the last vestiges of a hang over, I have never tried it in a sexual context, although I do have a maternal TENS and the conductive rubber loops which so far have resulted in the act I can't feel it never mind getting a sexual buzz and the thing is on full power and I have repeatedly hit the remote wand maximum button with no effect. But as a TENS for pain relief it works but not in a sexual context.

But the violet ray interests me Tesla at his finest, I have yet to find someone who would enjoy giving me the experience despite how many of these things are available in the kink community.

But as a passive creature I do understand I am my own worst enemy in that I struggle to communicate my need.

I had a tens unit used on my legs and I loved it, but I didn't know them or trust them enough to use it on my pussy, but I want to experince that. I also want to experince a violet want. I attended a little show and tell demo on one, and felt it's shocks an learned that kinda stuff but I mean wanna feel it in play. not as a touch this zzzzzzp and done.

I think your numbers are a bit off there, Pyramus. Certainly the OP meant only those that lived to tell about it?

The wand can be an... interesting experience. Especially when used in reverse, the static charge is actually pulled through the body. Add to that different tips, metal implements, even piercings, and the sky is the limit

There was actually one attachment it looked kind of like an old fashioned straw broom might, and I had the opportunity to touch that but I was to scared to.

My late dom had a viole(n)t wand - and i didn't care for it. He also had a cattle prode and used in on me ONCE. It put me into tears instantly. Very bad karma for me

and interestingly i grew up on a farm with electric fences. We learned to flatten out to worm size to get under the fences, and pray that the fences weren't electrified. I wonder if that put me off the whole idea of electroplay?

Well, cattle prods and electrified fences use very high voltage. Same concept as a stun gun, they are only meant to cause pain as a deterrent. For this reason, high voltage static shock devices do have a place in kink, but are an acquired taste

There are huge differences between violet wands and TENS units. Basically the wand is surface static, and the TENS goes below the skin into the muscles. With the right settings and accessories it can result in hands-free orgasms. If used wrong, it's pure torture on the private parts. Get information, start slow, and ask lots of questions. The best source of information is smartstim.com, and the best source of various accessories as well as personal instruction how to use them with your particular device is at currentpleasures.com and talking to their customer service directly.
