In your personal papers, have you saved the "we can no longer know eachother letters"  ...and fights that transpire via notes.

One day- Im tempted to scan and email some of mine....

I have them. Basically I know where the bed, the compmuter and the fridge is.  oops/

Um, why?  I mean, unless I was the one who did the breaking up, why would I want to relive that shit again?  Well, I guess if I had a spectacular one!

I don't save those.  It just hurts all over again and who wants that.

No, what's the point?  Are you going to rent a storage locker to stash all your old hurts and injustices, or will you move on with your life?

And trust me, to any future potential mates, there are few things less attractive than an active, thriving heart full of spite.

Maybe. But- given the chance, one or two; should be shown...to examplify- how not to be.

oh god. im old and cynical before it is time....lolol. yikes.

In 1988 I reduced down to a carload of stuff. I need to do that again.

Never got a 'Dear John' letter.. or even a dear Jane letter. ::chuckles:: I tend towards pack rat behavior though, so unless I made a conscious effort to toss it, it would probably go in the file with all the other stuff I don't throw away that I probably should.

No I don't save those.  I do have a stash of poems and short odes that were written for me, many years ago.  I won't give those up easily.  I've not looked at them in a long time, but it's nice to know they are there.

Sometimes your past wont let you move on. I dont mean past boyfriends. I mean the "resume" "portfolio" one needs to date.

actaully- thinking aout it...if someone has no baggage, ild have to run. [thats the axe murderer]

I wont do storage lockers. I am in trouble when I go to move tho.

I wear some of the past on my face as a sneer. I cant explain why. But it just is.
I think I need to be hypnotised or plastic surgery...botex...who knows.

rats! :-?

I only save reminders of happy days.  Or things I think I might need in court...

Only irritating stuff I save is all correspondance from my ex husband and that is because my lawyer told me too.

I've never had a dear Jane letter though. Pretty sure anyone gutless enough to break up with a letter and not in person would have the letter non surgically implanted in their nether region though. *smiles sweetly* [:)]

I have only gotten two of those (two too many) and I have one still but threw the other out. The one I kept is an email, and I am going to go and delete everything associated with him one day. It is the last step to being totally over it, I am 99.9 percent there, but that .01 keeps all the letters including the last one. I have moved on with my life quite nicely so I am thinking it is almost time to get rid of every reminder

I got a dear John phone call. I wish I had a recording because the personality of the person had changed so much I wasn't sure I was talking to the right person. This cute quiet little thing had suddenly become a mean, malicious harradon. I find it quite inexplicable how someone can apparently change so dramatically in 24 hours. Of course they never changed they were always like that.

Needless to say I threw all the presents etc. that she had sent me into the garbage. I couldn't stand the sight of the stuff. I can't even stand the thought of her if I'm honest. Dear John letters, emails, phone calls etc. are really down to moral cowardice.
