If this is similar to a normal relationship then how come Mistresses can own more than one slave?

Because the people involved are poly or have an open relationship, openly communicate with one another, and and here is the big thing they all agree that the dom/me will own more than 1 sub/slave.

A relationship can have ANY dynamic that the people involved agree to have.

I have both a submissive and a play partner. But my sub and I discussed it and agreed on the ground rules before I took on the play partner. My sub and I had an exclusive relationship on both sides when we started out. Then, as time went on, he and I discussed and agreed that it would be okay if we each played with other people.

You didn't do that. You never discussed it with your Mistress whether or not it was okay with her for you to see another Mistress. You took her choice away. You lied to her, even if it was just by omission and not telling her anything at all, it was still a lie because you weren't being honest and truthful with her. Poly is one thing, cheating is something entirely different. You cheated.

Based on the reaction of the one Mistress who elected to let you go, that alone tells you she had a problem with what you did. Unfortunately no amount of trying to justify the decision you made (i.e. how come a Mistress can have more than one slave, etc) after the fact is going to change that. Did you even speak with her at all about what her feelings were as far as the dynamic went...or did you just do what you wanted to do?

I have to reply to this post, because it is a pretty important issue. Being "owned" by a Mistress or Master, is the same difference as being in a real life stuation. The matter at hand is honesty. Thes big difference between a financial arrangement, and lifestyle play is that one sub has more freedome to come and go out of my life.. The subs that give themselves to me willingly and I consider to be mine, I only want to share in my presence with another sub of mine or a Mistress or Master friend of mine. If they were to go behind my back and see someone else, I would consider that betrayal. As, I AM more likely to share more of myself and my body with a lifestyle sub, and I do not want to share germs with someone I can not trust. I, as a Mistress, really prefer a sub to be mine, but in real life I know that many of my slaves travel and may see Mistress's in other states, or even have wives. So, we have to learn what boundaries are acceptable in each situation.
