dcnovice -> Great Moments in Marketing (1/25/2013 6:40:48 PM)

As part of the prep for my first-ever colonoscopy, on Tuesday, I was instructed to purchase and drink something called citrate of magnesium. So I hit my friendly pharmacy, and the kind clerk pointed me toward something called Citroma (aka magnesium citrate). I don't usually read labels all that carefully, but I did with this one given the gravity of the reason for buying the stuff. The label included several bullet points touting the product's attractions. The last and most memorable said, "The Sparkling Laxative." Now, I adore sparkling water and enjoy the occasional sips of sparkling wine or cider. And who doesn't enjoy sparkling conversation, especially if your brain's "on" and keeping up is effortless. But some words, I think, were never meant to be preceded by "sparkling." And "laxative" pretty much tops the list. That makes me wonder what other great moments in marketing folks have encountered. Anything come to mind?
