I figured we need a thread dealing with some of the dumb ideas that people come up with.

For example:
Dr. Teller the inventor of the Hydrogen bomb once proposed lining 26 high yield hydrogen bombs across the Isthmus of Panama and detonating them to make a second panama canal.
