So I'm apparently stuck in the dark ages. When I turned old enough to shave my mom went out and bought me a schick personal touch razor. I've had that thing forever. It's damn near indestructible. Apparently the blades are impossible to come by. I'm having a hard time giving it up and it always provided a nice close shave. By the time I order new blades and have them shipped, I'm starting to think it might just be easier to buy a new razor. I did some searching online and I've found differing opinions of "the best". Sometimes it's just better to hear from someone real!

I don't know I stopped shaving ages ago, But I hear the venus brand is good, and then there's gelette and mach 3 and those are mens ravors but they're pretty nice ones. I used my daddy's to shave my legs a few times.

I prefer the venus razor. They're damned expensive though. So I use one for a month before grabbing a new one to try to keep the overall cost down. The only time I go less than a month is if Mr grabs it out of the shower to shave His head with...He kills them every time LOL.

I use Venus, too. But I agree - very expensive! Like Luci I try to drag one out for about a month.

Mom uses just a plain double blade razor while I nair myself. I have the tendency to cut myself and get infections. Ended up with MRSA one time...

I dont know if this will help or not, or even if I should give an opinion.

I received a beard and mustache trimmer for xmas. Since I dont like my beard to extend from the jaw line to the neck, I trim that down to skin. This trimmer was so good, I did not have to go over the shaven area with a razor.

I used to use Venus and have used the Quattro, but lately I have been using Nair, and it feels so much better.

I am another one for Venus. Specifically I use a Venus Vibrance vibrating handle not with the Vibrance blades but with Venus Breeze blades, which have the shaving cream pads.

I wish I could use Nair but I have really thin skin and I just break out in blisters from it. I am however, thinking of buying a laser hair remover. Right now the really good one is selling for $400 but gonna keep looking around for a cheaper one. It would be nice to never have to shave again.

Yeah, I can't use nair. It makes me break out really really bad. I have pretty sensitive skin. I'm mourning the death of my current razor. Although I guess depending on how expensive the venus is, it might be worth it to actually just buy the razors and have them shipped.

Gillette Mach3 Turbo...I think the handle of the Mach3 and Mach3 turbo are the same but the blade is just better for the Mach3 turbo.

I actually lift my dad's razors to shave. They work so much better. If I buy my own, I buy Gillette or Venus. Also, I like using organic shea butter soap instead of shaving cream. No razor bumps!

i use the fusion. its a mens razor but works so much better than the most of the crappy womens razors out there.

plus i got the version that vibrates. i don't really know what the purpose behind that is, but i like that it makes it tickle while i shave. makes the chore way less boring lol

Thanks for the tip, Lilly!! I've been getting venus because everyone's recommended it, but I'm not as impressed with it as I had hoped to be.
