Since you worked for the government, wouldnt your wages technically be theirs ? [8|]

I am always amazed how many people who get paid by the government and use roads built via the government seem to think government is a bad thing.

Often people who think that military intervention in other nation's business is a good idea, I've noticed...

I have actually different idea: what if we follow the constitution (restore the republic)?

Otherwise, anarchy is not actually so bad option. It is worth trying. There are ideologies and systems worked out to proceed. For example: http://www.freedomainradio.com/Videos.aspx

Best idea I've heard yet!!!

I htink we have the republic, dont we? Unless you are thinking of something else I think of the senate as republic was adopted from roman laws. civili.

Anarchy kool, yeh...

I suppose if there were one person on the planet there would be no doubt about rights.

As soon as you add a second and person one plants an apple tree and lays out his turf he then expects others to respect "its mine, not yours", hence the creation of a right.

I labored for me, I therefore have the "exclusive right".

Another version is that my actions do not interfere with your rights or cause damage to you therefore I claim it as a my right.

a group steps in and draws a line on a map and makes a rule that everyone inside that boundary must have their lawn no longer than 4" is a violation of your right. You have the right to have your lawn at 6 inches or even to let it go to seed. Government expedience tramples the rights of man.

The courts are tossed in with the government and they should be completely separate. The reason for this is that a country a nation can live function just fine with out government, however people cannot live just fine without a system to arbitrate who has the right when diagreements among well meaning peole occur.

So if we have a means of determining "rights" can anarchy really exist?

No, we no longer have a republic. We've disintegrated into some form of democracy...where, as you say, 51% can vote to LEGALLY fuck your wife every Friday night, or every Saturday night, or every...ad infinitum. Doesn't even have to be 51%, any longer. It can be some group who decides, since you're fucking her, they should be allowed to fuck her, too. Now you're reduced to maintaining her(taxes), but not allowed to use her(rights mandated[or stolen, to be blunt] away from citizens by the 'democratic' government).
Take your case to that court...see how far you get. Or, as an alternative, take your .45 and defend and protect what's already yours.

ETA: Of course an assault rifle(with 30 rd mags)might come in handy, too. Or a full magazine shotgun. Or both! [:D]

Almost as good as one of the signs I saw during the 2010 election. "Keep your thieving government hands of my medicare."

Folks, would you rather have no roads, no railroads, no canals, no internet, no PCs, no cops, no courts, no prisons, no R&D of almost any kind that private investors can't see an almost immediate profit in, disabled people starving in the streets, people with deadly communicable diseases dying in the streets, and a few thousand other examples I could think of if i wanted to spend all night at it?

Or would you rather have government?

You miss the point, at no point in the process did government create anything they just moved peoples assests to projects they decieded were good. It has no bearing on government being good or bad it just is.

I`m not missing anything. The moon landings, and therefore all the technological spin offs, wouldnt have taken place if not for being a government venture.

I cant believe some people can be so dumb as to not see this.

And each of those advances were created when the government allocated someone elses resouces to do that, still not created by the government, I can't believe some people are too blind to see this

There is a huge difference between what we have and what we small-government types want. I don't know anyone on here that actually wants no government.

Me either.

BamaD -> RE: What if we burned the us and state constitutions? (1/31/2013 6:55:14 PM)

The question is not should we have government, as much as some big government types would like it to be, but rather how much government.

we have both,

remember the police state like in england has common law as its basis to create expedient statutes bylaws etc.

The constitutions create the police state, not in and of themselves but how the courts "chose" to interpret them.

The ussr and china are both republics also.

england instaled democracies because they are easy to control and when america gets all imperial n shit it does the same thing.

In democracy you can have a very few people (legislature) claim to voting on behalf of their constituents and no one will ever be the wiser.

In fact take every state but 1 and ask to see the referendum for statehood and there are none.

Delegates like our so called representatives today are mind readers!
