have anyone install it yet..?
I am having a a problem before i get to download it ..
can any one tell me what a (RTM) Means.. is it a test version..?

That means "release to manufacturing." It is the version being burned onto discs.

My daughter has to deal with Windows 8 on her new laptop. She is indifferent to some of it and you can hear her cussing out at some of it as well.

I stick to my Windows 7, tyvm...

First version of mobile/tablet 8...

RTM is the lowest version (I think it prefers the atom chip (not an intel product), doesn't accept full versions of Msft Office (and if it does....it deletes portions related to full function).

There is supposed to be a Msft tablet coming out in early February (fairly expensive....I seem to recall about $1,300.00 or so)...does everything (full Office), works very much like a regular Msft computer but....very limited storage (they want you to use cloud services....which are fine).

I'll be getting one, but not until mid 2014 when they have SSD chips that can achieve 250 meg or better (these actually exist today but they're quite pricey, and the speeds aren't quite there yet either.

Hope that helps....I may be wrong on a few items...others will pipe in.

I am downloading it as i type .. 2.3 GB & its going to take up to 8 hours "Minmum" to download.
will till you how it gose .. ( i will install it on my old LapTop 1.66 core-duo, 2gb ram).

I have heard it is horrible. I have not used it for myself but those I know who have are not impressed.

It's very much geared towards touch screen devices. I bought C an Asus with windows 8, and it's a little funky. He's ordering a touch screen monitor to go with it for work for ease of use.

as far as i know its just like Se7en .. only thing is the theme & "hotFixes"= updates..
& i kinda like that damn front it gives ya before the desktop..
