You know kids, I grew up on a nude, gay beach. I am very comfortable being nude. If it's beach weather. But having grown up in such a community where nobody ever bothered to look at me with salacious intent because I'm female, I'm not advertising anything even when undressed. The fact that some guy walking by twists this into being all about him and the response I am willfully (in his mind) eliciting from him does not change the reality of the situation. In warm weather I wear damn little, in cold weather I bundle up. I don't even notice the guys looking at me unless they deliberately intrude into my private space.

In another thread, a poll was taken, and in the process, I learned something that others probably knew all along, but which came an a total shock to me. D/s play is not all about sex to some people! [Poll] How important is a submissive's orgasm in your D/s play? To some of you, it's about something else (what, I can't even fathom or imagine, if it's not about sex, but, that's not up to me). So, given that D/s play is, somehow, not about mutually orgasmic sex (in some way, shape or form) to some people, that might go a long way into explaining why people's naughty bits are of no interest to some people, when it comes to the profile pictures! If it's about something else, other than sexual pleasure (which is inestimably difficult for me to fathom), then of course, naughty bits have no place in the profile. Now it's all (beginning to) make sense!

Bullshit. It's a pitiful relationship based soley on sex. What if you get sick, and can't perform any more? Of course, penetration isn't the only way to have sex, but I hope you see my point.

I normal just read and do not post....but this post hit close to home. I was with a Dom for 5 1/2 years { and still would be if he did not pass away last year}. In the beginning of those years he could have sex the last three he could not. The whole time it was both a vanilla and D/s relationship. Sex did not make it either......we did. Thanks for letting me add my two cents.

Regarding naked pics on profiles, or in mails - yes, fine. As long as they're tasteful. I don't want to see straight up your crevice, front or rear. As a guy, I don't really mind seeing other guys dicks on their pics; but I'm wanting to know a little bit more about them than just that before I play with them (Yes, I know; call me Mr. Picky.........!) And what guy ever complained about seeing a woman's bare bits? But again, it takes more than dicks and tits to build a relationship. Actually, I think in most cases you find that people with pics of their bare essentials on their profiles often don't write much about themselves; which is a pity. In that case I tend to think they either have a fairly limited opinion of their own value - limited to their bodies alone - or they are just after some quickie sex. Or, sometimes, cash....They are certainly likely going to attract fairly shallow people who are just interested in a quick screw. But - in the long term if you develop a relationship with someone, you are going to be seeing their naked body quite a lot; and so it can be an acceptable part of the process imo to get some idea of whether or not their body is going to do it for you. I probably prefer to do it a little further along the line; because I think that the personal relationship with someone is ultimately the main thing. But at the end of the line, you have got to see 'em stripped; and if the sight makes you throw up, it ain't gonna work! So, yes; fine; bring on the nude pics; I'm happy to see you all stripped off............please form an orderly queue to the right.................

Here's the thing I tell guys all the time, which, btw, your poll confirms: Men like naked pics. Woman, not so much. The eyecandy women like usually doesn't include so much nidity. A man in a three piece suit - like a lingerie photo, to a woman. hot, hot, hot. esp. if he is holding a book. I do have a nude shot in my profile - I consider it artsy, think I look great in that shot, I love it. I know men are not usually offended by those pics. And it's a full body pic, which gets that out of the way - I'm fat, if that's a turn off for you, it's righ there on the photo. It's not my primary photo, anymore, on the advice of some wise people on this forum, so you actually have to go through the photos to see it. None the less, I don't want a pic in my face of your junk. I'm just not that interested. even if I were primarily looking for a sex partner, which I'm not, that's just not how I pick one.

No, naked pictures are silly in profiles on a site of this nature. Possibly naked pictures on this forum (here) given the discussion or situation. However, there is porn & escorts if nudity is what a man wants. Both are probably much easier than trolling profiles or trying to "talk someone out of nudes". I can picture anyone's balls or breasts with pristine clarity on my own even if clothed.
