Herein perhaps lies the problem. "Real life" and "dreamlike fantasies" are extremely different things.

Actually, then what you know is incorrect. Not everyone can be hypnotized.

Sublimal marketing and hypnosis is not the same thing. Further, perhaps it is something that will simply and truly make your life easier. For instance, your pet keeps knocking their water dish over, and you see something on television that claims to be "tip proof." You weren't hypnotized, you simply saw something that meets your needs. I used this example because I have cats who would knock their water dish over constantly. I actually didn't see a commercial, but found a stand in the store that would prevent it, but it is still a good example.

I'm seriously beginning to question this course you took on hypnosis. Being able to "self soothe" is not the same as self hypnosis. Yes, there are people who can self hypnotize, but your example is not it.

it rather seems to me you dont WANT to see your self as hypnotizable. That is okay. And since you don't want to share your fantasies or like hypnosis at all,

Do I doubt that people can be hypnotized? Not at all. I've seen it done. It was quite interesting. I daresay the hypnotist had a great deal more experience than you, so no reason to doubt his expertise.
It isn't that I don't "want" to see myself as hypnotizable. Perhaps if you knew a bit more about psychology, you would have the answer to that question. As it stands, it isn't a "want," it is a fact.
"Erotic hypnosis" doesn't have a wonderful reputation, and someone who took a short course in it isn't going to improve that situation. As for whether or not this thread is for me...news flash kiddo, as an internet forum, I, and everyone else is free to post their thoughts and opinions on any thread we choose, so while you obviously don't like that no one jumped in telling you all their hypnosis fantasies, it isn't for you to decide what thread is for who.

Don't get me wrong here, yes you can inflict harm with hypnosis.
You can kill someone with a teddy bear. But what use does it have to think of a teddy bear as a harmful tool.
Really why should I not be allowed to playfully use hypnosis ?
If you split up the word game and the meaning "Irresponisble" you have attached to it, you may know what I mean.
This is just so lacking in any credible knowlege, there isn't much to say.

Actually, it is simply that we disagree with YOUR knowledge and views on hypnosis. It isn't a lack of knowledge.
