Women are sex so it's just comes naturally. Usually a woman can please any man because they are sex and men have sex.

If this was true I would be getting laid MUCH more often!!!

Might want to look into those classes sure your kids school would let you sit in

My sex ed. had me thinking that you could get pregnant by running through the long grass on a sunny day on the ridge of a hill. Ergo, stay off the grass and you won't get pregnant! [:D]

and a few years later, the nun had the female reproductive system on the blackboard- i looked behind the board going into class - and that was all we heard about reproduction for that year! Nuns aren't good for explaining the facts of life. imagine that![8|]

My kids got the basics at about 8 or so, because as far as i could tell, abstinance was the preferred method taught at that time. And as an er nurse, i knew that didn't work.

Considering some of the things that have come across the forums lately, I'm really tempted to steal this for My sig line.

I have a foggy memory of watching some kind of video in science class,
but I only remember it because they had a fire drill just as it was about to start.
Perhaps my school didn't go into much detail, because I remember having the fear
that if I swallowed a watermelon seed, I would grow a watermelon in my belly. [:-]

.................it was her word against his. I don't understand why the general population of women, having immediate knowledge of the fallacy, did not denounce such law. But, it was medieval England.

Medieval England? The time they were burning the wise women of the community at the stake for being witches? When "the rule of thumb" came into being?

"Her word against his" doesn't fare that well in court even now!

True, calamity. I began early in my 10th year. Seems so long ago now!

I don't blame you Lady P, I noticed that quote myself.  I would like to know where Russell said it since I never
heard it before and cannot find the source anywhere.  I am familiar with this similar quote by him:

"Most people would sooner die than think; in fact, they do so."
Bertrand Russell    I can find this quote on multiple sites, but not the original quote.

If leonine could give us the reference I would appreciate it.

Sorry for the highjack.  As to the question posed in the OP I can say since I knew a licensed
sexual educator in the state of California who was working long after the 70's there was still
ample ignorance out there.  Some of the stories I heard I would not have believed if I had not
known the source to be credible.  Many of the myths mentioned here were still going strong.
